All things are passing by

For some time now I have felt that I want to put a little booklet together, but never seem to be able to make the time to do it.  I have created  several small booklets with my desk top publishing programmes in the past, some articles of which I have used in posts on my blog, and feel a strong urge to write another one.   So this may be the last post I will write for a while as I will not be able to spend so much time on blogging, although I will enjoy visiting other blogs to catch up on my reading now and again, and if I feel the urge to put up a post, will do so.   I thoroughly enjoy interacting with other bloggers, and thank other bloggers for interacting with me.  However, I  know there is a time for everything and do not want to miss the moment as time passes by quickly and I believe that the Holy Spirit is encouraging me to write this booklet, for whatever reason, and that I must respond to that encouragement to be in the will of the Lord.

'To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven'

Ecclesiastes ch.3 v.1

Two days ago I went to  a nature park with my sister to have a reunion with two old school friends.   I had visited this place before and taken some lovely pics of the swans there one Summer, so it was nice to re-visit it in Winter.

All things are passing by

There is a season for all things a time and purpose too
for God has fashioned every day that we must travel through
There is a season to be strong, a season to be weak
a time to give opinion and a time we should not speak
And whether things be good or bad, all things are passing by
for this world is a testing place to perfect both you and I
So do not worry if some days all things do not go right
just be yourself - maintain your ways, be honest in God's sight
And if today you need more strength or patience to endure
just call upon the Saviour's name, His counseling is pure
'Tis He alone who understands the 'wherefore's' and the 'why's'
and nothing in this world of man is hidden from His eyes
So seek instruction from the One who watches from above
for every word that comes from Him is blessed with grace and love

'Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will defend my own ways before Him.  He also shall be my salvation: for an hypocrite shall not come before Him.'
Job ch.13 vs.15,16

I think this blog is very timely. I haven't been on your blog for quite some time, I haven't been on many of the blogs I like as often as I used to because just as this post say's, time is pasing by.

I have felt the urge to decrease how much I ma on the computer, it use to be all day and I felt that I was lacking the growth needed for me to mature parrlty because I was spending much idle time on the computer, although every now and again some of the time wasn't idle, I would read the blogs I like. I also have decided to decrease how often I'mn here blogging.

All this
is aking much time that I need to use to study the word and do things around the house I have been neglecting, I hope you get to finish your booklet and it does well, It was great reading your blog and chatting with you on here, may Gods Peace and Love go with you sister Brenda. :-)

The Lord must have some wonderful works planned for that booklet Sister Brenda. My prayer is that your respite from blogging will not only be a time of rejuvenation, but also one full of new spiritual inspirations for you to share through your wonderful poetry with all the world.

Blessings to you!

Hi Eya,
Thankyou for your lovely comment, I too feel that you and many bloggers I have come across are my friends. I will still visit blogs, it is just that I know I have to write this booklet at this point in time and blogging can take up many hours in a day because I enjoy reading and commenting on other people's blogs. So I will still read and comment but not very often, until God willing I finish my writings. God bless you for being my friend.

Hi Ken,
thankyou for your kind words, I know I will enjoy writing this little booklet. I have so many draft writings and thoughts that I just feel I have to spend time putting them together. I have never known what these booklets are for and have never tried to publish them but have shared some of the contents of some of them on my blog and evangelizing in the street, both of which I love doing as I love interacting with people. So even though I will not spend much time on my blog for a while, I still feel to visit the blog world occasionally. God bless you and keep you and your family safe.

Hi child of God,
thankyou for your kind comment, I love our fellowship too. I still intend to visit blogs when I can, it is just that I feel I have to write this little booklet and you were used to encourage me to do it. Once I had set up the cover and the title I felt a passion to fill its pages, just as I have done with all the other little booklets I have put together, whether poetry or testimony. It may be just to be used as future posts on the blog, as some content of the others has been, I don't know. I have never known what they were for and have never tried to have anything published, I wouldn't even know how.
God bless you in your work, I will pop in to have a read and say 'Hello' and let you know how I am getting on.

Hi Sateigdra,
lovely to hear from you. Yes that is right, blogging can take up a huge amount of the day, and this is what has been gradually happening to me. I love the interaction that i have with what I feel are brothers and sisters in the Lord and friends on line and have wanted to spend more and more time chatting with everyone. Then this booklet started to form in my mind and I began to feel more and more that I must devote time to writing it. I know the way the Lord speaks to me and I have learned that all things work together in a wonderful way even if I don't appear to know the end from the beginning. I will keep in touch and love your friendship as I do all my blogger friends. God bless you with a fruitful 2013.

Hi my friend and brother in Christ Darryl,
thankyou for your lovely prayer, it's almost as if you have echoed my own prayer for the little booklet. Over the years I have put together poetry and testimony booklets on my desktop publishing programmes and not known why, as I did not feel led to attempt to get them published. When I first started writing, shortly after coming to the Lord, I sat down and wrote six poems all at once that just dropped into my head. One of them was about wanting so much to tell people about my beautiful Saviour and His love for the world, I felt like standing up on a table in the street and telling everyone about Him and how he had saved me but didn't know how to. After writing each poem I opened my Bible and a verse stood out from each page I opened to like a voice speaking to me. The last lines of one of the poems said 'and when you've learned your Father's ways each day to you revealed, then you too will show the world just how my love is sealed.' After thirty years of wonderful experiences of learning from the Lord and evangelizing in the streets I (long story) was brought to sit down at a computor knowing very little about the internet, and start a blog. As soon as I started typing these words came into my mind and I realized that one of God's ways of reaching the world is the internet blogging. I have come across some wonderful evangelizing and fellowship on the blogs, including yours, and absolutely love it. I feel it is the on-line part of the church and fully intend to stay in touch. God willing, when I finish my little booklet, I will be able to spend more time here again. God bless you in and your family and church group in 2013.

Hi Lisa,
thankyou for your lovely prayer. Where you say 'you must be willing to follow wherever He may lead you with it!', I absolutely agree. I know from my past that if I follow what I believe is the Lord's instructions they have led me into places that I could never have imagined. Quite often we don't realize that our own reasoning and plans can be quite the opposite to God's plans for us. We often try to please the flesh, thinking it is God's will because it feels comfortable and makes us happy, when listening to that still small voice will lead us into something that is far better - God's will and purpose in our lives. Thankyou for your blessing and I will keep in touch, whether through e mail ( which I have never tried from a blog ) or through visiting your blog. God bless you and your family.

Hi Brenda,

First let me say that I hope you find the fulfillment in writing your booklet and I hope this will be a blessing to your readers in the future.
Secondly, thankyou so much for following my blogs and leaving your comments. I hope you will still find time to read them and if possible, comment.
May God bless you richly, now and in the future.
Frank.

Hi Frank,
thankyou for your kind words. I've always been a person that has ten fingers in ten pies at the same time and although I know that my heart is in writing this booklet at this moment, my heart is also in reading blogs too. So I really want to catch up with reading what you and other bloggers have written, and I will make sure that I will take a journey on your blog to some very interesting places as soon as I have got these writings started and in some kind of order. May God bless you richly too and your wife.

Here's wishing you a great and fulfilling 2013 as you take this strong step of faith to do the Lord's will. It's been an inspiring time reading your blog posts and I am excited that you are discovering another area where you can please the Father. I know the booklets will do well. I wish you all the best. God bless you as you honor Him.

Thankyou for your kind words Unyime-Ivy, I have just come onto my computer to get on with my booklet and thought I would look on the blog. I have not published any of my booklets, just put them together on my desk top publisher and printed them out, but sometimes I give them away or use some of the content on the blog. I love writing, and reading, and intend setting time to read the blogs including yours which is lovely, from next week. I should be a bit more organized then. (hopefully). God bless you.

Your blog is very popular now; the sheer amount of comments you have! I love the poem you wrote here Brenda, so talented to be able to write effective and pleasant poems; I just can't do it but I guess we all have strengths and weaknesses.

I wish you success in writing your booklet and I look forward to hearing about it when you have finished.

Brenda said...

Hi Tim,
thankyou for your kind words, we are all different and I could not write the way you write. I love diversity and I love reading and writing and I know if I do not do what I feel to do regarding this little booklet, which is taking a lot of paper sorting at the moment, then I will not feel right. As for popularity, I do not think that necessarily can be judged by comments, you have masses more pageviews than what I get, but that does not matter. It is interaction that is good, and since moving here I have started blogging as opposed to being in writer's groups, which is what I was used to. My booklets are merely my thoughts and experiences which I have always stored on paper, then used in sharing and communicating with other people. I love blogging and fully intend to carry on doing it, just not as frequently for a time while I put my little booklet together. God bless.

I hope it goes well!

Thankyou Jerry,
my paperwork is sorted and my thoughts are wanting to be written down. Still intend to read your fascinating story, will get over to you later in the week.

Brenda...it seems as if I just met you, and now you are stepping away. I will miss your blog presence. You have so much to say. I love the poem here about a time and season... Awesome! You are the third blogger that I follow that has chosen a new season in this new year. And yet, I have been feeling the urge to come back. God has the perfect plan for each one of us. A time and a season...that fits His work... His way. We will Be in peace if we obey His direction... I will pray God's mighty hand on you as you step away to fulfill His mandate for such a time as this!

Hugs to you
And may His blessings and favor continue to flow

Hi Patrina,
What has come to my mind today is something the Lord speaks many times to me 'You know not what tomorrow brings'. I know absolutely that the Lord wanted me to start writing my booklet and I have started putting it together. What I did not know was when I would be posting again on the blog, and although my time spent on the blog is less and I have less time reading other people's blogs, I have realized that only God knows what each day will bring. Something happened today to cause me to start a draft post and, even though I do not know when it will be finished, it has made me realize yet once again that the Lord is in charge of each day in our lives and all we have to do is eat the bread he gives us daily and live in the moment in Him. I have realized that our DNA in the Lord stands very much for Do Not Assume. Thankyou for your prayers Patrina, I look forward to reading your posts and know too that you have come for such a time as this.God bless you.

Glad to have our times in the Father's hands!

Brenda said...

Hello,
yes I am very glad to place my times in the Father's hands. I have found that if I put my times in my own hands by not seeking His word for instruction, or do not act on that word when I receive it, my actions lead to a much inhibited life, and I miss out on what He has in store for me. It is hard sometimes to put my trust in what God is telling me will come to pass if I believe the word He is giving to me in a situation, but I have had many times when I have held on to His word and it has proved itself true. I am learning not always to go by what I see or what my mind is telling me when it opposes what the Holy Spirit is telling me, and learning to take captive those opposing thoughts and make them obedient to Christ. He is the mediator between man and God, the Holy Spirit that can lead me into all truth, not my carnal mind. That is the purpose of the Holy Spirit - to renew my mind in Christ, and this is what I want to happen.
