Who do we follow?

Ever since I have been born again of God's Holy Spirit I have endeavoured to go wherever the Lord leads me.  Most importantly is the going out into the streets with a sister in the Lord with leaflets that we believe the Lord encouraged us to put together many years ago soon after we met, which we hand out to people who wish to take them.

We can truly say that we have never had a rude or aggressive response from a person when we do this.  We get people who do not want to take a leaflet, who actually are very polite and apologise for not taking one.  As in John ch. 6 v. 44 Jesus says 'No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them' we know that it is not the time for those particular people.

Then there are the people who we believe God  is calling to Jesus, we being either the ones that plant or the ones that water. It is only God Who can add the increase, as it says in 1 Corinthians ch. 3 vs. 7-9 'So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth.  He who plants and he who waters are equal, and each shall receive his wages according to his labour.   For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.'
Just as there is a time to be born in the physical there is also a time to be born in the Spirit.

We also get people who are believers who stop and talk to us and that is good,  as Acts ch. 7 v. 48 states ' However, the Most High does not live in houses made by human hands. As the prophet says:' and in Matthew ch. 18 v. 20 'For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.'

When I look out of my lounge window I can see a church building that has closed down , and I have to wonder 'Is this because man's  traditions have made void the Word of God there' and so God did not add the increase?

Out in the streets my friend and I are able to speak of Christ crucified freely to people, and we see many people drawn to Him and wanting to know more.

Sometimes we can be deceived in thinking that everyone who speaks in a church is speaking the Word of God.  However, we are told in the scriptures that there will be wheat and tares growing together in the kingdom of heaven.
Recently, my friend and I were in a church gathering that the Lord had led us to a few weeks previous.  The pastor there invited the Holy Spirit to come.  It went quiet, then I felt a song come into my mind and I began to sing it.  It was the chorus 'My God is so big, so strong and so mighty, there's nothing that He can not do'.  After I sang those first lines I was stopped by the pastor.  I said, 'But you asked the Holy Spirit to come '  He told me that he had been elected as pastor by the people there so he could tell me to stop.  Both my friend and myself told him that the scriptures said otherwise, and we referred to :-

1 Corinthians ch. 14 v. 26  which says:- What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

I have to say that I would think  the chorus I felt led to sing would have built anyone up.  He still would not change his mind.  Then I said 'It has come into my mind to shake the dust off our feet', and my friend said that it had also come into her mind. The pastor said 'Then shake the dust off your feet'

I felt very strongly to reach into my bag for my Bible and opened it to Acts ch. 13 where verse 51 and 52 read:-
'But they shook off the dust from their feet against them, and went to Ico′nium.  And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.'

I have to say that the first verse is exactly what we did and the second verse is exactly how we felt. Last night I had a very vivid dream where I was at a Christian wedding.  I was approached by a young man who brought several little children to me and asked me to look after them.  There were people at the wedding who I knew to be adulterous, I could hear them but could not see them.  I felt this was revealing the spiritual adultery  within the church as in 'teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.' (Mark ch.7 v.7)

I feel that my dream is a warning, and that we must look after God's spiritually young children.  We must encourage them to seek the Lord for all truth in a time of the wheat and the tares being in the KINGDOM OF HEAVEN,(Matthew ch. 13 vs. 24-30) and not allow the infiltration of man's traditions to make void the word of God, (Mark ch. 7 v. 13) thereby allowing the thief to rob them of the truth. Whatever anybody says to you, search the scriptures to see if it is true.

Jesus says in Matthew ch. 4 v. 19:- 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.'
That is what I would encourage all who are young in the Lord to do.

Brenda, I know that you don't like my comments because I don't give many compliments, but I wonder, the Lord Jesus Christ and all His disciples did always get rude and aggressive comments.
But why don't you ?

When I preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ on the highways and on the byways, I always get rude and aggressive comments, in fact they even gnash their teeth at me and call me all sorts of names.
Yes I wish that they would be nice to me just as they are to you.

My Bible says that the gospel is an offence to those who are perishing, and I am very careful if people speak good of me.
I am not greater than my Master, if they have gnashed their teeth at my Lord, what do you think that I can expect they will do to me ?

This fed me today! There is so much in this post that just meant quite a bit to me. Thank you for your faithfulness in writing these things down. I had one of those knock the dust off your feet moments recently, it was painful. But the reminder of the joy of the disciples in your post encouraged me.

About that church...I feel you should keep praying. When I was in college I briefly attended a very small church of very elderly people. I was in my early 20's and they were all over 80, except one who was a man in his 30's. He had been praying for that little church for years. He had a vision of it becoming a hub of excitement for the Gospel among young people from the nearby college. Guess what it became? Within just a few years, a bustling, busy, excited church full of kids from the college and it is to this day. It is a blessing to many. And the memory of it is a blessing to me.

Paul,
It might be that you are not called to evangelize, we know that we are. We can only do what the Lord has called us to do and with what He has given us to do it. We have been out today, both to a coffee morning in a church and out into the streets, and we have had a beautiful time. We met a pastor of a church who wanted to take us to a café and bought us a cup of tea (We didn't want any food he wanted to buy us as we are both on a diet), and we spent an hour and a half sharing our testimonies. Praise our lovely Lord.

Hi Sandi,
The 'shaking the dust off your feet' incident that we had was the second one we have had. The first one was many years ago when we were much younger in the Lord. I will probably share it on another post ( I will write myself a reminder).
Regarding the other church, we will seek the Lord to see if it is a time to pray for them because sometimes when we pray about these things we get 'Pray not for these people.... (Jeremiah ch.11 v. 14), so we will know if He wants us to. It is the Lord Who has the plan, so we have to go by what He says in His Rhema Word to us.
We had a meeting with a pastor today, and it was the perfect timing of the Lord, and in the coffee morning that the Lord has been leading us to for a few Wednesday mornings there were some Americans from Louisiana, we had a lovely day.
Lovely to hear from you Sandi.

Hey Brenda,

It's very unfortunate, when you have a "leader" of a local church, refuse to hear and obey the Word of God. I'm reminded of your conversations with Paul. However, as we have discussed, Satan is alive and well, within the church today. Sometimes, especially when you have invested so much time, developing relationships, within a certain local church, it is so hard to dust the dust and go on. I have been there. I totally empathize and will continue to pray for you and your friend to continue your evangelizing for the Lord God.

Keep up the fight.

Keith

Hi Keith,
I always open my Bible to read before I come on my blog, do you know what I opened to just now? I opened to Matthew ch. 10 where Y'shua (Jesus as the church knows Him)gives authority to His disciples in verse 1, but tells them in vs. 12 - 14:-
'As you enter the house, salute it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And if any one will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town.'

Nothing is coincidence Keith, and if we follow the Lord and act on the Rhema Word spoken to us, and not just hear it, then we are being obedient to Him. My sister in the Lord and myself have always endeavoured to seek the Lord and do as He commands us. That is how we are all built up by one another.

We do not mind being verbally abused, the battle is spiritual and the enemy must be put down. The real joy is serving the Lord, and it is not about us, it is about Him and His love for His church. We always try to remember that love involves being kind and not keeping a record of wrongs.
Just to add a little poem that has just come into my mind:-

There is a peace within my soul
no riches could have bought it
I found it not in wealth or fame
in wretchedness I sought it
This peace that passes understanding
peace that I can call my own
can not be found in all the world
It's found in Jesus Christ alone

As I finished typing it I looked back through what I have written here and realized that it goes together with some words contained in what I opened to in my Bible this morning.

'let your peace return to you.',

God is truly amazing!

Nice to hear from you Keith, and God bless you for your kindness and your prayers for us. We shall include you in our prayers too.

Dear Brenda,
Praise God that He has called you to evangelism, and to speak the truth in love, which surely will win more hearts than name-calling or holier-than-thou attitude which sadly marks some street preachers today. As you have written from God's Word, we plant or water as He leads us, but God gives the increase. Praise God that He rewards us based on our faithfulness, and not on the "success" or "failure" (as man, not God would see it) of any encounter.
God bless you and your precious ministry,
Laurie

Brenda said...

Hi Laurie,
that is so right what you have said, that He rewards us based on our faithfulness, and not on the 'success' or 'failure'. He speaks to us, giving instruction, we act on what He says to us trusting Him one 100%, because His plans are for our welfare and not to harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future. - as stated in Jeremiah ch. 29 v. 11.
My friend and I love what God has called us to do, and I know that you love what He has called you to do too.
Bod bless you and your ministry Laurie.

Hi Paul,
When you left your comment above on this post, regarding the treatment you get when you go outside, I was really busy and did not have time to say to you all that I wanted to say. Today I have more time and I have put together the following answer, as I have also posted on your blog.

Regarding the outsiders, it is stated in Acts ch. 13 v. 47 regarding Paul and Barnabas' calling:-

For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’

Verse 48 goes on to say:-

'And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of God; and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.'

This is exactly what happens when we do what the Lord calls us to do outside.

The 'gnashing of teeth' that you speak about comes from those in the Kingdom of heaven who are not true believers, who are thrown out of the Kingdom of heaven at the end of the age.(Matthew ch. 13 vs. 41, 42)
They are not the ones outside who have not heard the Gospel of Christ crucified as a sacrifice for out sins.

Paul G said...

Brenda, I don't have a problem with what you are doing, I have a problem with what you are saying.
The gospel which I preach is Jesus Christ.
But you preach another gospel which is Yahweh.

Colossians 1:13 – 23.
"For JESUS rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
JESUS is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation.
For by JESUS all things were created, both in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things have been created through JESUS and for JESUS.
JESUS is before all things, and in JESUS all things hold together.
JESUS is the head of the body, the church; and JESUS is the beginning the first born from the death, so that JESUS Himself will come to have the first place in everything.
For it was the Fathers good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in JESUS, and through JESUS to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of JESUS cross; through JESUS, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet JESUS has now reconciled you in JESUS fleshly body through death, in order to present you before JESUS holy and blameless and beyond reproach, if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of I, Paul, was made a minister."

This is the gospel which I preach.
The gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, is JESUS portrayed in all things.
It is NOT a strategy of believing a few verses of the Scriptures and then claim to be saved, no! It is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and then you shall be saved.

Believe in Allah, Jehovah or Yahweh or any other god and you will be damned.
Look Brenda, it's not complicated, believe in Jesus, by that I mean, ONLY in Jesus and in no other. The Lord your God is NOT THREE, but ONE Jesus Christ.

Brenda said...

Paul,
my sister in the Lord and myself preach only Christ crucified, and we have had another wonderful day doing what the Lord has called us to do, with people being drawn to the Lord and not one nasty or bad comment.

Jesus said in John ch. 12 v. 32 'Now judgment is upon this world; now the prince of this world will be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.'

This is what we find is happening with the people we meet, they are being drawn to Him, praise His lovely name.

Paul G said...

Brenda, I wish that you would lift up the Lord Jesus Christ, but as it is you are using the Lord Jesus Christ to lead them that perish to another god called Yahweh.
Perhaps like a doormat so that they can walk over the Lord Jesus to get to another god called Yahweh, and then pray to Yahweh through the Lord Jesus Christ etc.

Brenda, you need to repent, which means that you need to ditch that other god you call Father and then believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
There is no other way.
You need to get rid of the leaven, and the leaven is this god called Yahweh.

Brenda said...

Paul,

'Leaven' is added doctrine, as stated by Jesus concerning the doctrine of the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
I do lift up Jesus to the people outside, although I believe that the 'lifting up' that Jesus speaks of refers to His crucifixion, which was the only thing that could reconcile mankind back to God. Jesus speaks of the way to the Father being through Himself in the book of John.

Jesus said, “I am the truth, the way, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me” (John 14:6)

Paul G said...

Yes Brenda, the leaven are those false teachings who teach that there is another God next of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Teachings who teach that you have to go through the Lord Jesus Christ to another god called Yahweh.
Or pray to this other god Yahweh through the Lord Jesus Christ etc.

Lifting up the Lord Jesus is to preach Jesus Christ and no other, in every debate, doctrine and presentation.
You cannot lift up Jesus on the Cross, He has already died and it is finished (completed).
You need to lift up the Lord Jesus Christ so that all men will come to Him and not through Him to a god called Yahweh.

Brenda said...

Paul,
you say:- 'Lifting up the Lord Jesus is to preach Jesus Christ and no other, in every debate, doctrine and presentation.'

That is not the 'lifting up' that Jesus speaks of because He says 'When I am lifted up FROM THE EARTH I will draw all men to me'

Paul, I have to ask 'If you are implying that you lift Jesus up when you preach out in the streets, then why have you stated this in your first comment to me on this post:-

'When I preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ on the highways and on the byways, I always get rude and aggressive comments, in fact they even gnash their teeth at me and call me all sorts of names.'

If Jesus said that when He is lifted up He will draw all men to Him, then there has to be something wrong in your preaching and 'lifting Him up' if people are not being drawn to the Lord Jesus.

Paul G said...

Brenda, you said, 'I do lift up Jesus to the people outside, although I believe that the 'lifting up' that Jesus speaks of refers to His crucifixion, which was the only thing that could reconcile mankind back to God. Jesus speaks of the way to the Father being through Himself in the book of John.'

What does that mean ?
Does that mean that the Lord Jesus is leading mankind back to a god called Yahweh ? Or a god called Father ?

No Brenda, the Lord Jesus Christ is the Father (John 10:30) and the ONLY God there is (Eph. 4:6 and 1 Cor. 8:6).
Any other entity is a false god.

It seems to me that you cannot differentiate between a metaphor and a reality, and for that reason you don't believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only god there is.

Brenda said...

Paul, I believe what that written Word says and what Jesus says.
I will leave the comment I left on your blog on here so you can hopefully understand more of what I am saying:-

There are many things that God can do, and does do, regarding His name and His Word Paul:-

'Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to guard you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. 'Be on your guard before him and obey his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since MY NAME IS IN HIM. 'But if you truly obey HIS voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.…' (Exodus 23 vs. 20-22.)
The 'HIS; and the 'I' are contained within the same one who is spoken about here.

This is how the Word of God became flesh and how God spoke His Word through the man Jesus. God is the One Who made Jesus both Lord and Christ(Acts ch. 2 v. 36) so that He could become a mediator between man and God, speaking to mankind what God had to say regarding reconciliation.

I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth: for thou hast MAGNIFIED THY WORD ABOVE ALL THY NAME. Psalm 138 v.2.

When Jesus was made Lord and Christ by God He, the Word made flesh, was given all authority by God, and magnified above all of God's name in order to bring about salvation and reconciliation to mankind

Dear Brenda,
Praise God for the mystery of the Trinity, the Three-in-One Triune God, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. In Christ is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Praise God that Jesus Christ, the Word, came to earth in human form to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins to reconcile sinful man to Holy God. Praise God that when Jesus Christ ascended into Heaven, He sent the Comforter, or Holy Spirit, to live within each believer. The Spirit teaches us about Jesus, Who is the express image of the Father. No man comes to the Father except through Jesus Christ.
May God bless you and your ministry. Love in Him,
Laurie

Brenda said...

Hallelujah and Amen to what you have said Laurie.

The scriptures are truly alive and reveal all truth. I have always loved how we are taught by the Holy Spirit. The written Word is not a book it is a vocabulary, and just as I would not say 'yes' and 'no' at the same time, neither does God.
He speaks to us individually as we grow in Him through the enlightening of the Word by the Holy Spirit just as Jesus said would happen in John ch. 14 v. 26:-
'But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.'
What better teacher could we have?

May God bless you too Laurie, and what you have been called to do. It is good to encourage one another in the Lord.

Paul G said...

Brenda, to them that do not really know God, God is a mystery, but to them that the Lord Jesus Christ has made Himself known to, God is not a mystery.
For it is written that the mystery has now been disclosed to us who believe (Col. 1:26-27) which was hidden through past ages (Eph. 3:9), that mystery is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself (Col. 2:2).
It is He who has made Himself known to me by revelation (Eph. 3:3), and I proclaim the mystery of Christ Jesus My Lord and only God (Col. 4:3).

To believe that God is three persons in one God (a trinity) is the greatest masterpiece of Satan's deception he has ever produced, and numerous good men and women have fallen headlong into Satan's snare of deception.

The Lord Jesus Christ has granted Satan to deceive even the elect if possible, especially those who do not love the truth.

Brenda said...

Paul,
I do not use the word 'trinity', and never have. This does not take away the fact that God is Spirit, Jesus was born of that Spirit, and the Holy Spirit (the teacher that Jesus said God would send)was Spirit. So there are three combined to bring reconciliation between God and mankind.
GOD (1) sent His Son Jesus(2)to be the sacrifice for our sins, and then sent the Holy Spirit (3) to lead me, and all believers in Jesus (Who is the Word of God made flesh) into all truth.

We are not to add or take away from those scriptures, and as we grow in Him through acting on the Word spoken to us we become more aware of the enemy and his trickery in trying to even use scripture to deceive.

Paul G said...

Yes I know Brenda, even though you do not use the word trinity, it is still the same lie, just wrapped in a different paper.

Blind Freddy can see that you are a trinitarian. You said, 'GOD (1) sent His Son Jesus(2)to be the sacrifice for our sins, and then sent the Holy Spirit (3) to lead me, and all believers in Jesus (Who is the Word of God made flesh) into all truth.'

It makes no difference whether you say that God is two persons or three persons, whether you call them entities or essence, father and son, or just like the trinitarians, a Father and a Son and a Holy Spirit, it is all the same lie and deception.
The moment a so called believer divides God into two or three persons or whatever, the deception is conceived.
From here on that deception becomes greater and greater with no end in sight.
In other words, the moment you divide God into two or three persons, then you have a happy family of gods, where one god has a dialogue with another god, or one of the gods is greater than another god, and each of those gods have different functions titles and names and it gets worse and worse, exactly the same as the pagans.

This is the same sin that the Lord Jesus has charged Israel for having other gods next to the Lord their God, and burning incense in their hearts to those gods.
And it is you and all trinitarians who are adding to the Lord our God other persons and then claim that they are one.

Brenda said...

That is not dividing God into three persons Paul, God is omnipresent. Don't you know what 'omnipresent' means Paul? He is Spirit and He can be in any fleshly body or place at any time. If I am with five brothers or sisters in Christ we can all have the Spirit of God in us. It seems quite obvious to me Paul through how you think(and I don't mean this to be rude) that you do not have the mind of Christ, being part of the body of Christ on earth (the church).

Paul G said...

Brenda, you said, 'GOD (1) sent His Son Jesus(2)to be the sacrifice for our sins, and then sent the Holy Spirit (3) to lead me, and all believers in Jesus (Who is the Word of God made flesh) into all truth.'

Yes, that is dividing God into three persons.

Is God who sent His Son a person ? Is His Son a person ? Is the Holy Spirit whom He has sent also a person ? That's THREE persons.
If ONE sent two others as you have said, that's THREE persons. I'm not stupid Brenda.

Brenda said...

Paul,
you don't only appear to misunderstand the scriptures, you seem to misunderstand what people are saying. I said there are three combined. GOD(Who is Spirit) sent His Son. JESUS was the sacrifice. The HOLY SPIRIT is what mankind has to be born again of to become children of God.

Paul G said...

No Brenda, I do not misunderstand you or the Scriptures.
The Scriptures said that the Lord your God is ONE (Mark 12:29), consequently He is NOT TWO or THREE.

If there are three combined, as you have said, then there are THREE.

Don't try to manipulate words into nonsense.
You said, 'GOD (1) sent His Son Jesus(2)to be the sacrifice for our sins, and then sent the Holy Spirit (3) to lead me, and all believers in Jesus (Who is the Word of God made flesh) into all truth'

God (1) SENT His Son Jesus (2), please tell me, how many are those ?
Look, it gets even worse, God (1) SENT the Holy Spirit (3), now please count them all and then tell me how many there are ?

Brenda, you cannot escape the call of the Lord to believe ONLY in the Lord Jesus Christ and in no other.
The Lord our God is ONE ! And not three, and neither is He two.
The Holy Spirit is the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor.3:17), and He is NOT a third person.

It's not rocket science Brenda, just simply believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and ditch all your other gods, which is called repentance.

To have another god next of the Lord Jesus Christ is an abomination to the Lord our God Jesus Christ. So therefore be eager to repent.

Brenda said...

God is omnipresent and can be in all at all times Paul

Hello Brenda, I'ts been a while since I have visited your blog, I'm glad I took time to do it today.
What you mentioned about the traditions of men I have seen happening at an alarming rate in most churches today all over the world. There is a scripture that says how our faith ought to be in the power of God and not in the wisdom of man, but today I see many have their faith and trust in man and not in God. If you were to bring to their attention that they are following the traditions of man and not God they will deny it and reproach the person who is bringing something very important to their attention.

I also had a dream a while back when I was at a wedding and I remember telling some people how the wedding was about to start we have to hurry, but they were taking long and I remember starting to feel anxious in my spirit that we would miss the start of the wedding. Turns out it started and we did miss the start. I don't know what that meant but I have had several dreams of attending weddings and in one dream I was even being dressed by some people although it wasn't my wedding.

It's great that you stood up and did what you did in that church, too many people are placing their pastors on pedestals and it's really irritating and grieving to the spirit. I left a group a few months ago because of a disagreement over doctrine. A lady came to my house after the disagreement at her house and she told me that she thought I was rude, out of line and she said I had an unteachable spirit. But all I shared with them in the group I did calmly in a respectable way because all of them were older than me. I think because I told the speaker that he was lying because what he said didn't line up with scripture I think that ma have offended her and it was her son in law who was the speaker. She came to my house and reproached me saying that I shouldn't have said what I did to him because he's a "man of the cloth". I told her that she was acting like he's God. Many are so dependent on their pastors that both them and their Pastors feel that Pastors cannot be contradicted or contended with like they are either God or that they are the sole oracle who hears from God and delivers us His message like the Spirit of God wasn't supplied to EVERYONE who believes and is born again.

Seeing the increase of this in the church and the influx of so many foolish new religions popping up over the place that present itself like they have some newfound wisdom or knowledge presenting the truth contrary to what is in the Bible, all of this is so grieving to me and encounters with these people can be difficult sometimes because many of these people have a chip on their shoulder over race issues (some of these religions are very race focused) or these people mock, curse and/or scoff at everything you say. It's frustrating but now I just am realizing what it means to avoid certain people who are bringing in false doctrines and causing divisions.

All of what I see happening today makes me go back to the scripture about the transfiguration on the mount. Jesus was on the mountain and Moses and and Elijah appeared alongside Him, however when the Father spoke from heaven He said listen to His Son, Jesus Christ. He didn't say listen to Moses (Who represented the laws and who the Jews revered) and He didn't say listen to Elijah (Who represented the prophets). God the Father said listen to His Son. Many today are listening to man, and are still entangled in the laws of Moses or they are prophet hungry running to everybody who says they have a word from God, only a few are actually obeying God and listening ONLY to His Son.

The Apostles said it best, it is better to obey God than man. May God grant us the patience and strength and endurance we need in these days where lawlessness and deceit is increasing rapidly, where people are gladly exchanging the truth of God for the lie, where evil is being called good and good is being called evil, where people are losing respect for legal authority like the police and rebelling against God in every way. May we be able to patiently endure to the end. May we overcome this world like our Lord and Savior did. When our heart is overwhelmed may we stand on the solid Rock which is higher than us. May we rest in the peace of the Lord which He has given to us, not as the world gives but the type of peace this world can never supply but only God can supply. May we stand firm in the word of God and not be shaken and blown about by every new age wind of doctrine and even old traditions of men. May we remain sober in a world where people are drunk on the cares of this life. May we remember to draw near to God. May we remember to resist the enemy and flee temptation. May we turn a deaf ear to satan and his followers and heed only the voice of our Lord and God our Father. May we never forget to pray for strength, to pray for each other and be clothed in the full armour of the Lord. May we never grow weary and if ever we begin to feel weary may we remember the words of the Lord to come to Him all who are weary and heavy laden and He will give us rest. This is my prayer. Amen.

Amen and Amen to your prayer Sateigdra. I loved reading your two comments, and feel they should be one of your blog posts. You have so much to share Sateigdra, and you are very passionate about following the Lord.
Even though my lovely dad died when I was eleven, I am so glad that when my siblings and I used to argue and we would ask him 'Dad, dad who is right?' He would always say 'Let's see what the Lord says', and would always find the answer in the scriptures'. Those words have never left my mind. That is what we say isn't it?
God bless you Sateigdra.
