The shining light

The greatest light  in this darkened world is JESUS CHRIST. He is the TRUE LIGHT, and is not confined by walls, distance, or time.

God does not live in a building

God does not live in a building
in a house made by human design
where the walls have been built on traditional sand
and mans’ rules are used for a plumb line

No God does not live in a building
where some words that are preached are a lie
where mankind - the created - are worshipped
and their idols are lifted up high

For the temple of God is not made of brick walls
fixed in place using sand and cement
no it’s built upon Jesus the cornerstone
Who for our salvation was sent

He came like a sun in this darkened world
to bring knowledge of God and His ways
bringing light for man’s blinded eyes to see
giving warmth to man’s soul with His rays

When His time came to go - to return to His home
He did not leave the world without light
but established His church as a witness to be
like a moon shining bright in the night

Just as the moon reflects the sun in the night, so we have to reflect the light of the Son in this darkened world. Whatever gift we have been given to share, as part of the body of Christ on earth, the only source we can use to reflect that light is the Word of God .

In Mark ch. 16 v. 15 Jesus says 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation' Hebrews ch. 13 v. 8 says 'Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever' It is stated in that Jesus was the Word of God made flesh. John ch. 1 v. 14 says 'the Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.'

My love and gratitude to the Lord is  reflected perfectly in a song I wrote some time ago, which I would like to share in this post.

I'll never stop loving You Jesus

I'll never stop loving You Jesus
I'll never stop praising Your name
Great shepherd so faithful and true Lord
'twas for your lost sheep that You came
I know I had strayed in this world Lord
my eyes had been dimmed by my sin
I'd wandered about in the valleys
gone lame through the sickness within

I'll never stop thanking You Jesus
for calling me back to the fold
The wolves they had tried to devour me
I was injured and lost and so cold
Then I lifted my eyes to the mountains
as I heard Your soft voice calling me
You whispered 'I love you my lost one'
It was then that I started to see

I'll never stop needing You Jesus
to guide me and lead me back home
to be with my Father forever
no more from Your side will I roam
The path it is narrow and lonely
and the dangers are great - this I know
but with You Lord beside me I'll make it
as You show me the right way to go

As I walk down this path to salvation
I see others turned blind and gone lame
and I tell them the Father still loves them
they'll be saved if they call on Your name
My eyes they get clearer each day Lord
as the light of Your love leads me on
every step that I take towards You Lord
makes my lame legs grow healthy and strong

'For the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.'
 Luke ch. 19 v.10

This is happening to so many people right now. There is an Awakening.

Hi Sandi,
I agree one hundred percent with you here, and that is why we must keep doing what the Lord is calling us to do. I believe the scripture you have left on your last blog post is perfect to encourage everyone to continue to trust in Him, and to stay within His strength. God bless you Sandi.

Hi Brenda,
Praise God for the Light of the world, and that He allows His light to shine through us so that we too can be lights in this world. Thanks as always for the beautiful, encouraging poetry magnifying Christ.

You are welcome Victor, who would not want to share the gospel of eternal life attained through belief in our One and only Saviour Jesus Christ. It is so important to do this in these days more than ever. God bless.

Hi, Brenda. Just checking in. I was hoping you'd posted something. I find your posts encouraging. Well, it has been a few weeks, but I have not posted in months, so I suppose I am not one to talk. Ha ha!

It is the beginning of Passover. Do you celebrate it? We are having a family seder tonight. We are making matzoh! We have done seders a few times and I always just bought the matzoh, so this will be the first time making it. I hope it goes well.

God bless you and keep you.

Hi Sandi, I can only put a post up when I am inspired to do so. Usually bits and pieces come into my mind when I hear the Lord's voice from the scriptures and then something follows like a sign. I have never celebrated passover, I must look up more about it, sounds Jewish. It is always nice to hear from you Sandi, and I hope you are keeping well. It doesn't matter that you have not posted fore months, that Word that you posed is everlasting, and it will not return to God void. God bless.

Amen. Thank you for saying that. Yes! The word of the Lord does not return void. That is encouraging.

I think you will be blessed to read about Passover. It points to the Messiah. The Palm Sunday palm branches and singing "Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord" is from Passover. When the farmers would bring the lambs into Jerusalem for the Passover celebration dinner (seder) the people would wave palm branches and say that. When Jesus came into the city riding on a donkey that's what they were doing. He came in with the lambs. Baruch Haba Ba Shem Adonai. Blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord. He said He would not come again until they said that. Today Palm Sunday and the first day of Passover are on the same day. Well, Passover started Saturday night at sundown, but this is the first day.

Here is link to info on Passover as celebrated by believers in Yeshua the Messiah:

Yes, we celebrate palm Sunday here, but it is always nice to learn more from the scriptures. I have never really read up about the passover, will have a read. I celebrate Jesus releasing us from the slavery of sin daily - passing over from the sin of the flesh to the Son of the Spirit. God bless you Sandi.

Hi Brenda,
I agree, His return approaches quickly. May He empower us to do all we can to spread His Word. God bless you.
