Better for Worse can sometimes turn out to be Worse for Better.

What one considers worse can be considered better by another. This happened when we lost our beloved cat Tinker after having her with us for sixteen years, and we picked up our new cat from Cats' Protection. The worse thing that could have happened for us was to lose Tinker, but the best thing that could happen for our new cat was to be found and taken in by ones who love her.  She is a 'rescue' cat from 'Cats' Protection'.  So too are we 'rescued' when we have been born again of God's Holy Spirit.

Just as we were born of the earth and struggling with various things in our fleshly body, God has a plan of 'rescue' for mankind, to change all who believe in Jesus from 'earthly' to 'Heavenly', with the gift of eternal life.

This reminds me of how, according to the fleshly mind of the fleshly person, the worst thing that could happen is to pass away in this world, but to the mind of the born again believer in Christ the best thing that could have happened was to be found and taken in by the Ones Who love that person - God the Father and His Son Jesus.  For although even our new cat will pass away one day in the flesh, our new 'person' in the Lord will not.

1 Corinthians ch. 15 v.50 states.:-

' I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.'

2 Corinthians ch. 5 v. 17 states :-

' Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away.  Behold, the new has come.'

As John 1:12 states:-

'But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God,'

The most important thing in my life on this earth was to be born again of the Holy Spirit, and to have access to the Holy Spirit leading me into all truth through the mind of Christ - the firstborn of all creation. For now I have access to eternal life in the most beautiful place I have ever encountered when I had my near death experience.

"God has a plan of 'rescue' for mankind"

Thankful for this.

I agree with everything you said here, Brenda. My heart has been heavy these past few...months, eons, forever. It is hard to watch the world change like this. I have young kids who are almost adults. It is too much to bear to think of the world as it is now and wonder what it will be like for them. It hurts. But God rescues. Bless you. ❤️

Hi Sandi, God wants all to be saved and come to the knowledge of salvation through Jesus our Saviour, and I am sure He has a wonderful way of doing it. I love the way He understands we are flesh, and there is a process of being changed into His likeness when we are called to be part of the body of Christ on earth. The warfare is not with flesh and blood, it is spiritual, and even though the enemy can be very cunning, if we try to keep our eyes focussed on the Word spoken to us daily and do what we have been called to do, including praying for all men everywhere, then the enemy can be put down. I am reminded of the scripture 'Unless God intervened all flesh would be destroyed.' God has a unique way of intervening that we can not even comprehend. Thank God that in Jesus we have peace when we focus on the truth the Holy Spirit leads us into as we walk with the Lord.

So sorry to hear about your cat. It is always heartbreaking when a pet dies. But, it gave you the opportunity to home another one and care for him.

Just as God cares for us.

God bless always.

Hi Victory, that is right, we are so glad to have rescued all the cats we have had, especially the previous one, who had such a bad past that they wouldn't tell us the whole story. There is always something in our lives that speaks to us spiritually.God bless.

How strange productive text printed the word 'Victory' instead of your name, and I didn't realizing it until I had posted it. I am reminded that the Victory has been won for us by pur lovely Lord, the sacrificial Lamb.

'Unless God intervened all flesh would be destroyed.'

It is important to remember this.

"God has a unique way of intervening that we can not even comprehend."

Yes...yes...yes...another thing to remember. Thank you.

"Thank God that in Jesus we have peace when we focus on the truth the Holy Spirit leads us into as we walk with the Lord."

I need to do this more.

"Victory."

That was a God "accident" 😄

Hi Sandi, it is lovely to encourage one another,as you do very much. I often forget to check my comments when I use my mobile, yet I wasn't meant to check that one to Victor because you wouldn't have seen it as a God 'accident'. Well said Sandi. God bless.

Thank you for this hopeful post, Brenda! I'm glad that you are caring for and loving a new cat.

Hi Louise,
yes, there is 'hope' in the Lord, and faith is the substance of things hoped for. Our new cat has settled in really well, and is a lovely little 'puss'.

Hi Brenda,
Praise the Lord that He makes all things new! We were lost, but now we are found through His saving grace. Your cat is blessed to have loving "parents" and I know God will bless you for this act of love and rescue. Praise the Lord that He rescued us! Thanks for the beautiful post. May God bless you and your lovely ministry.

Hi Laurie,
thank you for your kind comment. Praise the Lord indeed that He rescued us. I cannot imagine anyone on this earth that could make such a sacrifice for others that did not know them as our Lord did. I hope you and yours are keeping well in these troubling times, and God bless you for continuing to share God's Word in your lovely ministry too. All glory to our Father God and His precious Son Jesus.

Amen! The gift of eternal life is a promise that is so amazing we sometimes get carried away in the small things of the world. May we remember to always give thanks always for eternal life in the salvation through Yeshua, Jesus, the most amazing gift yes!!!.

Sorry to hear of your losing your beloved cat Tinker.
God bless you with your new cat and the new things He will teach you through His Love...Blessed days always to you!❤️

Brenda said...

Hi Shayndel,
yes eternal life through salvation in Yeshua is the greatest gift we could ever have. We know we were meant to have our new cat to look after, she has settled in very well. We have always had rescue cats, and some of their stories have been horrendous. We are so glad we could give them a loving life, and they too share their love with us, which they do. God bless you too.

Lovely post and love the comments more Brenda. I haven’t been on blogger much lately, sorry about that, I’ve been on Facebook snd MeWe and YouTube, and neglected blogger partly because I was having a lot of trouble with it. Thank you for your steadfast perseverance here, your posts are always a blessing.

Brenda said...

Hi Susan,
thank you for your very kind comment. Please don't worry about whether you come over to my blog or not, you will always be my sister in the Lord. I only put up a post when I am inspired to do so and always enjoy reading other blogs. I am not on Facebook, came off it a long time ago. I love watching YouTube, but mainly for Irish Christian and country singing, singers like Mike Denver, Jo Dolan, and Isla Grant and many others. God bless you, and keep you safe in the Lord.

Hi Brenda, my hubby enjoys watching music videos, he loves The Corrs. I enjoy looking up new recipe ideas and enjoy John Haller’s prophecy updates. On MeWe a friend started a read through the Bible in a year in January, we are in the book of Isaiah. We keep each other accountable and both talk about what we read. It’s great! I’ve read many Bible books (some of them several times) but hadn’t read it completely through. It’s difficult for me to get back into blogging…maybe I can if I find myself inspired to do it. But I do love reading your thoughts and poetry. ❤️👍🏼

Please don't worry Susan about not coming over to my blog posts, I don't do them as regular as many people, only on inspiration. I don't know what MeWe is, maybe I will look it up one day. I just open my Bible every day, pray with a friend in Wales, and find that the Lord speaks to me through the Word I open to many times in my situations. I will look up The Corrs too, I love music. God bless.

Hi Brenda,

It is amazing how God will reveal something new to us each time we read His Word. It truly is a living Book!
God bless,
Laurie

Hi Laurie,
it truly is a living book, and with the mind of Christ in us as the body of Christ we will grow spiritually every day as we act upon the Word spoken to us. God bless you Laurie.

Hi Brenda,
This was a great analogy. It reminds me of the natural evolution of the seed as well..It must be buried into the earth in order to germinate and rise up to become what the Master gardener intended for it to be!
I'm happy to see you are still blogging. I've tried Facebook over and over again, but I seem to bet very blocked with that format..and also seem to get distracted on there as well. I hope to pick back up with blogging. Thanks for the visit to mine recently. Blogger doesn't notify me of comments on mine anymore so I missed yours until today when I dug it out to look at something!
Hope you and yours are well. I'm thrilled to hear you got a new kitty!
God bless

Hi Lisa,
nice to see you. Please do not worry about not coming over to my blog at a specific time, as the scriptures say 'There is a time for everything.' I can only put posts up when I am inspired to, and I like to read other people's blogs when I am on my computer. We loved our last pussy, as we have all our cats - we had her for about sixteen years. Our cats are always rescue cats, and our new one is settling in nicely. God bless you with all He has for us in Jesus.

Hi Brenda,
Glad to hear the newest member of your family is doing well! Our son and his wife have a new puppy, who keeps them busy, but they say it's definitely worth it! God bless,
Laurie

Hi Laurie, we have loved all our rescue cats, they have always been part of the family. This one loves to be boss :) It has been a really busy time here lately with gardening and other things, so I haven't had a lot of time for blogging. God bless you.
