For quite some time now the Lord has been bringing my attention to the word 'believe'. I have mentioned in my previous posts that I believe that the Lord has told me that He will heal me completely of the sickness that has been in my body for well over twenty years now, and how He spoke this to me by bringing to my attention the words in Psalm 103 vs 2 and 3
'Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all His benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases'.
I have shared on my blog how the Lord revealed to me that His grace was sufficient for me, and how He confirmed this at various times. What has come into my mind recently is the question of 'belief ' itself. Jesus says in Mark ch. 9 v.23 b that 'all things are possible to him that believes.' If I say 'I believe' do I really believe that what has been spoken to me will really happen? And yet, just like the man in Mark ch. 9 v. 24b, I can say to the Lord 'I do believe, help me overcome my unbelief.' It has been brought to my attention recently the story of Abraham, how Abraham believed God above all what his eyes, ears and carnal mind told him, and also a little song that I wrote quite a few years ago that I don't seem to be able to stop singing in my mind lately.
We are told in Hebrews ch. 13 v.8 that 'Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever'. I am also told in John 1 v.1 that Jesus is the word of God, so that 'word' is the same yesterday and today and forever. The Holy Spirit has merely been bringing my attention to this fact and so I say 'Yes, I believe that God (the God whose grace has been sufficient for me for over twenty years) is now going to heal me from this disease'. I say this because God, the God with whom all things are possible, says this.' 1 Corinthians ch.1 25 a states 'For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom.'
The song that I wrote many years ago is my declaration of this:-
You say You love me
You say all things are possible with You
You say You'll heal me
that every word You've spoken will come true
Now my heart has wings, and my spirit sings
Lord I do believe, and I receive Your miracle

Believe is a strong word. It takes a lot on our part especially when we go through lots in our lives. Belief is at the center of every Christian Life. I will pray for you and your healing!
Father, my Lord! I believe along with Brenda! I believe Your promise of healing in her body and I stand with her testifying to Your amazing faithfulness to the Word You speak. You cannot lie and we believe in Your promise. Thank You Father for healing Brenda and restoring to her perfect health here on earth. In the name of the One who paid the price for our sickness, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Standing beside you Brenda in prayer.

Without faith it is impossible to please God. Our faith is manifest in submission to His perfect will, whatever that may be, trusting that He works all things together for good for those who love Him. Praying for your healing.
God bless you,
Laurie
Hello Mike R,
thank you for your prayers, yes 'believe' is a strong word isn't it. What is the point in seeking God, hearing Him speak and then not believing what He has said. Nice to meet you.
Hi child of God,
as I read your comment 'where two agree as touching anything on earth it shall be done for them by their Father in Heaven' came into my mind. No our Lord is not a man that He should lie is He?
God bless you
Thank you Laurie for your prayers. I was only thinking this morning as I awoke how the Lord started to bring the word 'faith' into my mind weeks ago, and how He brought me to buy the blouse with 'pure faith' on the label. This will sound really strange I know but when I sit on the sofa in my lounge I look through the window across the road, and behind the bungalows opposite is a small woodland. Along the top of the trees to the right there is a small group of branches with a few leaves arranged on them which appear to spell the word 'Faith'. That is exactly what it looks like from my sofa. I know the Lord is trying to increase my faith through this trial.
God bless you
Sometimes the promises of the Lord may tarry, but it always comes to pass, if our belief does not waver. I believe God along with you, that His word is yea' and 'amen' and will find expression in our lives.
That's what I believe too Unyime-Ivy, and I believe as long as I do not tempt God, as long as I truly believe He is strengthening me in my faith, then it will bring about His purpose - to glorify Him. There is a time for everything, including healing, as it says in Ecclesiastes ch.3 v.3,and I believe everything that the Lord asks us to do is to encourage all of us as we testify that 'All the promises of God are 'yes' in Jesus, and we are in Jesus- Praise His lovely name.
God bless you, you have a lovely way of wording things.
I love your song! So beautiful. And the photo is very special
Hi Jedidja,
thankyou for your kind comment. The photo is of a little candle lamp that I bought years ago. While I was walking around that particular shop there was also a song being played that had words to it that went together with the lamp. It was amazing and at a perfect time when the Lord was speaking to me about believing.
I think last time I spoke to you--you spoke about believing without doubt. I have been praying for this. I believe God can do all things, but for some reason, and I think it is only of the enemy, I would start thinking doubtful discouraging things. I know the enemy doesn't want us to believe or trust in God because he knows very well what God is capable of. I'm sure there is no doubt present in the enemies mind in regards to the things God is able to do, even moreso I guess we should not have any doubt as we are called to be heirs of the promise. I pray all the saints be given a faith and belief that lacks any type of doubt, because God doesn't like doublemindedness. Great Post Brenda. God Bless you and I pray he heals you. His will be done.
Dear Brenda,
With my wife ill in hospital, this is a very encouraging post. One of the most important points I learned through this experience is that God has our future in his hands, and this includes your health too.
God bless.
Hello Sateigdra,
I agree with everything you have said regarding the enemy. The only reason I am here now, I totally believe, is because God has kept me by His grace. I believe that it is God Himself who brings us into a particular situation, and for the last twenty five years it has been like a pattern in my life. The reason I asked the Lord in the first place to teach me about sickness and healing was because I could not understand why I had had a miraculous healing when someone had prayed for me, and I had also had healings which had happened over a period of time, yet there was very little of God's power operating in the church. I knew there was a power in God that was above all other powers and that there had to be reasons why we who were part of the Lord's body did not always receive healing when it clearly says in the scriptures that if we ask anything in His name believing, we shall receive what we ask for. I believe that the Lord brings each of us into different situations to encourage one another , and I know that He has brought me into this situation. I trusted Him when He told me that His grace was sufficient for me and I must trust Him now that He has said that He will heal me. If we look at the early church the Lord had a very close personal relationship with His church, and I believe He is trying to restore that.
God bless you Sateigdra, take every thought captive and bring it into obedience to Christ.
Hello Frank,
I am so glad that you have been encouraged by this post. I know that to the carnal mind, mine included, the supernatural power of God seems far away, and yet I have had evidence, as many other people have had too, that it exists. I believe that the enemy has had such a strong influence that he has shaded the true light of this world from God's people. Yes, God has our future in His hands and I pray that your wife will also be healed and be a wonderful witness of our Lord's power and love in this world to all around her.
God bless you both
Please do not hesitate to tell us when you are actually completely healed of your disease. For it will be something that we could all glory in.
I will Jerry,
I wait patiently, as the Lord has instructed me, and the fact that He told me that His grace was sufficient for me, and for over twenty years He proved it and confirmed it through scripture and a pastor who knew nothing of my situation, has strengthened me to believe and put my trust in what He speaks to me. The glory will be the Lord's.
Hi Brenda,
I love the way God speaks to us through hidden love notes, if we are still and attentive to observe them! How awesome that the leaves spell out "Faith," but only from the vantage point where you would see them. Lovely post.
God bless,
Laurie
Hi Laurie,
yes that is a lovely way of putting it 'but only from the vantage point where you would see them.' He has a wonderful way of speaking to each of us according to what He wants to teach us at a particular time.
God bless you Laurie.
Hi Brenda,
Yes, the same physical manifestation could have different spiritual significance to different believers, depending on what He would say to each of us, and, sadly, no meaning at all to the nonbeliever.
God bless you too!
Laurie
Hi Laurie,
yes, it emphasises all the more the love that God has for each of us and how all things are possible with Him. Each of us has to work out our own salvation, yet sharing our testimonies can also comfort others who may be going through the same thing and who might need to be encouraged or comforted. We each have our own experience of the love of our beautiful Lord in our lives. I know when I go out into the streets with my friend we can only go when we are instructed by the Lord and He has a wonderful way of instructing us. One of the first ways He did this was to take us into a prison as visitors and it was wonderful. They even let us take my guitar in so we could sing our songs. Now he sends us out into the streets with poems and scriptures which He has brought us to put together, and we meet many non believers. 'When I am with a Jew I become as a Jew in order to win him for Christ'. The principle is the same with non believers, I have been where many of those people are before I came to Christ. We must all play our part as the Lord instructs us, whatever He has called us to be. 'One plants, one waters but God gives the increase.'
It is lovely how God is in complete control.
God bless you and your ministry Laurie
How wonderful, Brenda, that God has used you and your friend in this way. It often amazes me how much God can and does use us, even in the most unlikely of ways, when we are obedient, submit to His will, and yield to the Spirit. Your ideas about soul-winning are clearly from the Spirit, and you are indeed a blessing!
The Lord is the best blessing we can share with others Laurie, and I am sure that you have found this in your ministry.
God bless you
