Peace perfect peace

In my last post I included the song about the prodigal.  We too as individuals within the church can be drawn away from the Lord  by not following the Biblical instructions for the church when they come together,, as stated in 1 Corinthians ch. 14 v. 26:-
'What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a psalm or a teaching, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation. All of these must be done to build up the church.'

Also, we can deceive ourselves by not acting on that Word spoken to us as individuals, and go to the world or allow the traditions of man to make void the Word of God.
James ch. 1 v. 22 states:-
'But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.'
1 Corinthians ch. 10 v.6 states that the things written in  the old testament were examples for us that we might not desire evil as they did:-
'Now these things took place as examples for us, that we might not desire evil as they did.'
Just as John the Baptist went in the spirit of Elijah, we can be spiritually in the state of a character portrayed in the old testament - sometimes good, sometimes bad.  The warfare is spiritual and not physical and God has a wonderful way of directing and correcting us through that Word.

2 Corinthians ch. 13 v. 5 states:-
'Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!', and we must do this daily to ensure that we are in the right spirit.

Jesus said 'In me you have peace',  He also said . 'Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me , and I am in you. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.…'

These words have proved, and still are proving, true in my life.
The following is a poem I wrote years ago when I was in a writer's circle and we were asked to write on the letter P, and it reflects to me the peace we have in the Lord when  we follow the Lord's instruction.

P.......s Perfect P.......s

Perhaps  I can share some things learned in my life
portray to you how I have coped
place things in perspective, past ease and past strife
while preparing for that which I've hoped

Pretending you're happy just does not work out
pleasing folk to keep peace is not right
For though problems will surface to darken good times
perfect light is our guide through each night

Protection will come from our Father above
wisdom written in His precious Word
saying peace beyond measure and purest love
follows acting on His precious Word

So persevere in pursuing perfection
plant God's precepts deep down in your heart
prove His Word through pure  choice and selection
let God's power in your life play it's part

For people will try to persuade you
that pleasure, position and fame
are the things in this world that must guide you
but they're all just a slow burning flame

a paralyzing paradox that can't make things right
a way that cannot bring release
For it's only God's justice - that pure, perfect light
that can bring us true peace ....... perfect peace

John ch. 8 v. 12  reads:-
'When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." '

I say in response to this:-

Thank You Lord for Your mercy so tender
thank You Lord for a love pure and true
thank You Lord for revealing the Father
so that I might be fashioned like You
Thank You Lord that I'm part of Your body
thank You Lord we're becoming Your bride
thank You Lord for Your Spirit of comfort
sent to lead me back home to Your side
Thank You Father that You loved and forgave me
thank You Father that You sent Your dear Son
thank You Lord that You died to redeem me
thank You Lord for the battle You've won

It is overwhelming to think of how great God's love is for us. We are so blessed. Thank you for sharing the scriptures and poems.

You are right Karen,it is overwhelming to think of how great God's love is for us, no matter how much I endeavour to put it into words it does not fully describe it.

Hi Sandi,
absolutely - so be it.

Brenda, You said,

"The warfare is spiritual and not physical and God has a wonderful way of directing and correcting us through that Word.

I am so reminded of our recent discussion. The Word is our stable connection to the mind of God. If we are anchored to the literal Word of God, we can stray.

Good Post, as always.

Ooops, made a mistake. I meant to say,

"If we are not anchored to the literal Word of God, we can stray."

Brenda said...

You are right Keith,
we have to be 'anchored' to the literal Word of God as He speaks to us individually (called 'working out our salvation' - being 'doers' of that Word, not just 'hearers' - in order not to stray.

Regarding making mistakes Keith - join the club:-)

Amen, Brenda! We have so many blessings to thank Him for! May we avoid the "paralyzing paradox" of the world and keep our eyes fixed on Him!
Thank you for the beautiful post and poems. May God richly bless you and your ministry.

Hi Laurie,
I agree, may we keep our eyes fixed on Him, our beautiful Lord. All glory to God the Father and His wonderful Son, and may you too be richly blessed and your ministry.

Hi Brenda, you said:
“Thank You Lord for revealing the Father.”
“Thank You Father that You sent Your dear Son”

Please tell me, in how many gods do you believe ?

If the Lord Jesus Christ would have revealed the Father to you, then surely you would know that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Father just as He has said.

Tell me, which Father sent His dear Son ?
And which one do you call ‘LORD’, Jesus or the Father ?

Brenda said...

Hi Paul,
I believe in One God, the Father, and One Lord, Jesus Christ (the One Whom God has made both Lord and Christ, as stated in Acts ch.2 v. 36) :-
'Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.'

As Jesus says to Philip in John ch. 14 vs. 10,11:-
'Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.'

Yes, I believe in the same Father that Jesus speaks about - God, Who is Spirit, as John ch. 4 v. 24 states:
'God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.'

God the Father is the One that is spoken of in John ch. 3 v. 16:-
'For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.'

2 Corinthians ch. 5 v. 17 says:-
'Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.', and that is what I, and all who have been born again are - new creations in Christ.

As far as how I am taught, John ch. 14 v. 26 states that Jesus said:-

'But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you'

I have been born again of the same Spirit that Jesus was born of
Romans ch. 8 v. 29 says:-
'For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.'

Paul G said...

Brenda, you said, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”

So then, do you believe in one God called Father, who sent his Son and another person the Holy Spirit who will remind you what the Son has said ?

OK. let’s see, ONE God the Father sent TWO separate entities, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Are those TWO separate entities who are called ‘Son’ and ‘Holy Spirit’ also a god each ?

(John 4:24 God is Spirit). So then, if God is Spirit (Holy Spirit) and the Father is also a God, then are you saying that ONE God the Father sent another God the Spirit and a third one called Son?

I think you believe in too many gods Brenda, and you need to repent of those many gods and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and then you shall be saved.

Paul G said...

Brenda, don’t you think that it is reasonable to say that if you give thanks to one God the Father for sending you His Son, that His Son would surely NOT be a God ?
Otherwise they would be TWO gods ? A BIG God and a little god.
And worst of all, in the Scriptures they worshipped a false god (Mat. 28:9).

I’m only saying this things so that you would seriously consider such a great sin.
And please don’t tell me that you believe the Scriptures, we both know that you do not believe the Scriptures at all.

Brenda said...

Paul,
as I have said in many previous times you have asked these questions regarding certain scriptures where you ask things like:-

'Brenda, you said, “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”'

I did not say these words, Jesus did.

It appears that you do not understand the difference between the physical and the spiritual, and that is why it is pointless to continue the same conversations over and over again.

Laurie Collett said...

Dear Brenda,
Thank you for your relentless defense of the Truth of God's Word. Praise God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit, all One True God.
May God bless you and your ministry.
Love in Christ,

Brenda said...

Hi Laurie,
thank you for your encouragement. How could we not defend the Truth of God's Word when it is clearly written.
May God bless you and the ministry He has given to you also Laurie. It is only God's Holy Spirit that shall lead us into all truth.

Paul G said...

Hi Brenda, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Now, please tell me, which ONE of them is God ?
Are all THREE of them a God ?
Or, are they together “God” ?

If you give thanks to the Father for giving you His Son, then WHO is His Son?
Is His Son also a God ?
Or is he an ordinary man ?

Brenda, I consider you to be an intelligent person, therefore I expect an intelligent answer.

That is trinitarian theology. It is the trinitarians who throw three titles into one bucket and then they call the bucket “God”.
Well, that is a disgrace to the living God the Lord Jesus Christ.

Look Brenda, your friends won't tell you the TRUTH, otherwise you would believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
I am telling you the truth and you don’t want to believe in the truth. Remember, I’m claiming to be a preacher of the truth which is Jesus Christ the LORD (John 14:6 and Isaiah 65:16).

Brenda said...

No Paul,
I did not say what you say in the first sentence of your last comment, and neither have I ever called myself a 'Trinitarian' or anything else, I am a believer in Jesus Christ, part of the body of Christ on earth, (the Church), belonging to no denomination and going wherever the Lord leads me to do what He has called me to do.

God, Who is Spirit, is the Father. Jesus, Who was a fleshly man born of God's Spirit, the Firstborn of many brethren. the Holy Spirit Who Jesus said the Father would send in His name to lead us into all truth, Who would teach, comfort and counsel those who would become children of God through believing in Jesus, the One mediator between man and God.

'Intelligence' means nothing Paul, as in order to be born again of the Spirit of God we must become as a child.

Matthew ch. 18 vs. 2,3 states:-
'Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, 'Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.'

Brenda said...

Just to add, Paul
John ch. 20 vs. 30, 31:-

'And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.'

Paul G said...

Hi Brenda, yes I know that you do not claim to be a trinitarian and that makes it worse.
You see, at least trinitarians believe that Jesus is “God”, and you don’t.

Your theology is much is much worse than those of the trinitarians, you believe that an unknown god by the name of Yahweh created everything THROUGH a man called ‘Jesus’, and for that reason you would never worship the Lord Jesus Christ or even believe in Him.

We both know that the the first and second commandment forbids you to worship an other god or even serve him, and obviously you are not doing what the Lord Jesus Christ as commanded you to do.
The Lord Jesus commands you to believe in Him and you cannot serve two masters, Jesus and Yahweh.

You said, “God, Who is Spirit, is the Father. Jesus, Who was a fleshly man born of God's Spirit, the Firstborn of many brethren. the Holy Spirit Who Jesus said the Father would send in His name to lead us into all truth, Who would teach, comfort and counsel those who would become children of God through believing in Jesus, the One mediator between man and God.”

Brenda, that is just religious rhetoric and has no value to you.
It clearly shows that you don’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and that you have a confusion of titles and descriptions and metaphors.

That is not acceptable to the Lord Jesus and to any intelligent person. And how many times do I have to say that you cannot become a child to anyone no matter what you believe or what you do. Every child belongs to his or her father BEFORE they were born and it does NOT depend whether they believe it or not.

You said, “Intelligence' means nothing Paul, as in order to be born again of the Spirit of God we must become as a child.”

I’m not sure what you mean by that. But the Bible says that the new birth (born again) is a free gift of God and it is not by our will, otherwise we would boast.
The new birth only shows that we were the children of God (of Jesus Christ) BEFORE the foundation of the world. In other words, we were in Christ Jesus who is our Father who is in heaven before He caused us to be born again, and only those who are born again are revealed to the world that they are the children of God, and that is NOT by believing, believing is only the result of the new birth.
If we believe, we will have life and life abundant (John 20:30-31), but don’t put the cart before the horse, so to speak.

You quoted Matthew 18:2-3.
That does not mean that we need to become childish. It simply means, as a child trusts in his father, so we are to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Father who is in heaven. Remember the Lord Jesus is talking about those who are already born again and are already in the kingdom of heaven.

You said, John 20:30-31, 'And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.'

Yes Brenda, why then don’t you believe that Jesus is the Christ ?
Your problem is that you don’t believe that Jesus is the Christ, you believe that Jesus is ANOINTED and you don’t believe that He is the Christ at all.

You think that anointed means Christ, just the same as you believe that Jesus is the Son of your god called Yahweh.
The reason you cannot understand the Scriptures is, because you don’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore you need to come to Jesus and believe in Him just as a little child or you will be left outside.
If you have problems to believe in Him, then believe on the account of His works (deeds).

Paul,
it appears that you call the written Word 'religious rhetoric'. I would call what you are saying 'blasphemy'. It is that Word that is our judge.

John ch. 12 vs. 47-49:-

'As for anyone who hears My words and does not keep them, I do not judge him. For I have not come to judge the world, but to save the world. There is a judge for the one who rejects Me and does not receive My words: The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day. I have not spoken on My own, but the Father who sent Me has commanded Me what to say and how to say it.… '

Regarding what Jesus said about becoming as a child, He is speaking about 'humility'.

The definition of 'humility' is 'the quality of having a modest or low view of one's importance.'

Would you say that you have 'humility' Paul?

Regarding becoming a child of God, John ch. 1 vs. 12, 13 state:-

'But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God — children born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but born of God.…'

I have received Jesus as my Lord, I believe in His name ( a name in the Bible identifies who and what a person is). I have been born again of God, (Who is Spirit). I am part of the body of Christ on earth (the church), and am learning God's ways through the mind of Christ as I grow in Him, being led into all truth by the Holy Spirit that is spoken of, as Jesus spoke in John ch. 16 vs. 12-15:-

'I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine and declare it to you.'

1 Corinthians ch. 15 vs. 44 - 46 speaks about this process of being transformed from the flesh to the Spirit through Jesus, 'the last Adam a life-giving Spirit':-

'It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. So it is written: 'The first man Adam became a living being;' the last Adam a life-giving spirit. The spiritual, however, was not first, but the natural, and then the spiritual.…'

nice to meet you.

Dear Brenda,
May we have childlike faith to trust in God and His Word, not relying on our own intelligence, strength, good works, or understanding. If we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths.
May God bless you and your ministry.

Paul G said...

Yes I know Brenda, you would call what I am saying blasphemy, but remember they said the same to the one I am representing, which is Jesus Christ the Lord (John 10:33).

And more likely it is Jesus Christ who will judge the great and the small, and it is Him who will separate the sheep from the goats, and those who believe in Him from those who believe in Yahweh.

You said, “Regarding what Jesus said about becoming as a child, He is speaking about 'humility'.”

No Brenda, children are not humble, children are trusting in their father because they do not have knowledge and intellectual discernment.
But you have knowledge and intellectual discernment and that is your stumbling block, therefore the Lord Jesus Christ requires from you a childlike none questioning believe and trust in Him ALONE and in no one else, just as a child would trust his father.

You said, “Would you say that you have 'humility' Paul?”

Perhaps not what you think that humility is.
I certainly do not have the appearance of a humble man and that has troubled me for a long time.
As I inquired from the Lord that other men are more humble than I, the Lord Jesus said to me, ‘that He wished that they would wipe off their face of humility and put on a face of a lion.’
After that, I was immediately set free from my troubles.

You said, “Regarding becoming a child of God, John ch. 1 vs. 12, 13 state:-”

Brenda, I do NOT debate your experience with the Lord, but what I debate is that you have departed from the Lord Jesus Christ to another Jesus and another god called Yahweh.

That is a serious charge Brenda, and you need to turn back again to the one who has bought you with the price of His blood, and that is Jesus Christ the ONLY God (James 1:25).

You said, “I have received Jesus as my Lord, I believe in His name ( a name in the Bible identifies who and what a person is). I have been born again of God, (Who is Spirit). I am part of the body of Christ on earth (the church), and am learning God's ways through the mind of Christ as I grow in Him, being led into all truth by the Holy Spirit that is spoken of, as Jesus spoke in John ch. 16 vs. 12-15:-”

As I have said, if you would have received Jesus Christ as your LORD (meaning ‘God’), then you would NOT give thanks to another god called Yahweh for sending his son Jesus.
And anyone who is born again will cry ‘Abba Father’ to Jesus Christ and NOT to another god called Yahweh or Jehovah.
And anyone who is led by the Holy Spirit is led by the Lord Jesus Christ; after all, it it Jesus Christ who is the Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 3:17).

Look Brenda, there is not a play or a dialogue, or an interaction among the gods. There is only ONE God and that God is the Lord Jesus Christ ALONE.
It trouble me that you can’t see that and that you don’t believe that.

And any other god is the devil, he is the god of this world because people believe in him and worship him (2 Cor. 4:4 and Rev. 12:9).
And there is NO other Name given apart from JESUS who is the Christ, and every title and description concerning Deity belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ and to NO other.

Only Satan usurps the titles and descriptions of God which rightfully belong to Jesus Christ our Lord.
You can see that in the Pope of Rome, he is the one who usurps the title ‘Holy Father’ which rightfully belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ.

And the Spirit of truth is also the Lord Jesus Christ (2 Cor. 3:17), the Spirit of truth is NOT separate from the Lord Jesus Christ Brenda.
Don’t divide God, for God is NOT divided into two or three separate persons or entities.

Brenda said...

Paul,
there is no way that you could teach anyone the truth because you do not believe in the truth. Yes, as I have said many times it is written in the Word 'The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.'

Whatever you claim your experiences have been, and the words you claim have been spoken to you, that is up to you.

There is a perfect way of recognizing brothers and sisters in the Lord, and what spirit is in a person, and it is shown us in the scriptures:-

'Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.…'

'But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.'

I have to say Paul - I love both grapes and figs, and I love the Spiritual fruit that comes from growing in my Lord Jesus.

Paul G said...

Yes Brenda, that all sounds nice, but a false prophet does NOT lead you to the Lord Jesus Christ.
False prophets will always lead you to gods like Jehovah, Yahweh or Allah etc. they even get you to believe in GOD without mention his name, perhaps a god of your own makings.
You see, if God’s ONE and only Name is NOT mentioned or stated, then the hearer or reader will assume that his or her god is the true GOD.
And for that reason I always ask, ‘Which God are you talking about’.

Let’s take Laurie Collett’s comment;
“Dear Brenda,
May we have childlike faith to trust in God and His Word, not relying on our own intelligence, strength, good works, or understanding. If we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths.
May God bless you and your ministry.
Laurie”

Tell me, which God is Laurie talking about ?
Does she mean, trust in Jehovah ? or in Allah and in his word ? or is it in Krishna ?
And WHO should we acknowledge in all our ways ? tell me WHO ?
And which GOD will direct our paths ? is it Allah, or is it Yahweh, or perhaps Jehovah ?
And which GOD is going to bless you ? and in what kind of ministry ?

Can you see, it means absolutely nothing, it’s just religious rhetoric.
Anyone who speaks in the Name of the Lord ought to testify to JESUS Christ alone and to NO other god.
Apart from the Lord JESUS Christ is NO other Name given.

You said, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”

I know Buddhist, Jehovah Witnesses, Hare Krishna, Muslims, Catholics etc. who have all those qualities, but does that mean that they have received the Holy Spirit and display the fruit of the Holy Spirit ?

Well, I don’t think so.
Then by what Spirit do you think that I am speaking ?

I am a simple man and my message is the same as Adam preached and all the Prophets of God and all the Apostles and disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to this very day.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever, He changes not and neither does His Gospel. For whosoever will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and whosoever does NOT believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be damned.
This is the message which has been preached from the beginning and I am a herald in His Name.

Brenda said...

Laurie's comment is one hundred percent right Paul. The God she speaks about is the Father Who sent Jesus, His only begotten Son to be our Lord, that through Him sinful mankind might be reconciled back to God.

Romans ch. 8 vs. 28-30 states concerning God the Father:-
'And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren. And those He predestined He also called, those He called He also justified, those He justified He also glorified.… '

I know that I, as many others have, have been called by God to do what He has commissioned me to do. I have to say that it appears that most of what you do is try to change scripture according to the doctrine you go under in your blog. I find that strange, because in John ch. 12 v. 32 Jesus says:- 'And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself.' yet it appears that this is not happening with you. You have told me that you get rejected and spat at when you go out and spread your doctrine, yet when my friend and I go out and do what we have been given to do in the streets we do not have this happen. Many people want to know more about Jesus.

Where you say 'For whosoever will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be saved and whosoever does NOT believe in the Lord Jesus Christ will be damned' I totally agree with this written Word, and we are not to add or take away from that Word - as many of man's traditions and doctrines are doing.

Which Adam are you referring to in your comment Paul, the first Adam that was formed from dust or the last Adam - the life-giving Spirit?

Paul G said...

Brenda, Laurie said, “Dear Brenda,
May we have childlike faith to trust in God and His Word, not relying on our own intelligence, strength, good works, or understanding. If we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths.

Laurie”

You said, “ The God she speaks about is the Father Who sent Jesus, His only begotten Son to be our Lord, that through Him sinful mankind might be reconciled back to God.”

Well, that is so obvious that you both do NOT talk about the Lord Jesus Christ.

And don’t say that you only preach Jesus Christ, when everyone can see that you preach another god.

Brenda said...

Paul,
I too say:-
'Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.'
1 Peter ch. 1 v.3

You still haven't told me which Adam you are speaking about in your last but one comment where you say:-
'I am a simple man and my message is the same as Adam preached and all the Prophets of God and all the Apostles and disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to this very day.'

What message did Adam preach?

Laurie Collett said...

Dear Brenda,
In the beginning was the Word (Jesus, the Creator), and the Word was with God (Jesus was with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit since the beginning) and the Word was God (Jesus, Son of God, is equally God with the Father and the Holy Spirit -- three aspects of One God).
This is a mystery that I believe our finite minds cannot fully understand, but which we must accept by faith, as His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. And yet, that is what God's Word says (John 1), and by faith we are to believe in Him and His Word.
God bless you and your ministry,
Laurie

Brenda said...

Hi Laurie, I love how we are one with God and Jesus in Spirit,as Jesus Himself said, once we are born again of the the Holy Spirit through believing in Jesus. I have loved my life in the Lord and can not imagine being without Him now. Jesus was the first of many brethren, and it is only the Holy Spirit that will lead us into all truth. The things of God are foolishness to the carnal mind but we who are part of the body of Christ on earth have the mind of Christ and are being taught God's ways daily. Hallelujah

Well well well, here we have it again, THREE gods are thrown into a bucket and then you call the bucket ‘GOD’.
And to top it off, you say that such a great nonsensical deception which your finite mind cannot fully understand, but you must accept that nonsense by faith.

Wow ! I nearly said that I am speechless, but we know that is not going to happen.

This is exactly what I am debating, and for that reason the Lord Jesus Christ will punish ALL those who do NOT know God (2 Thes. 1:8), those who DENY our ONLY Master and Lord, Jesus Christ (Jude 1:4).

This is exactly that !
You DENY our ONLY Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
You say that there is another god who is EQUALLY god with the Lord Jesus Christ, and then you call the other god your Father.
You are saying that the creator of heaven and earth was with ANOTHER god in the beginning.
And then you say that the creator God is EQUALLY god with TWO OTHER gods.

Are you saying that each one of those three gods is only an ASPECT of the fourth God called Jehovah ? or is it Yahweh or Allah ?

No wonder why christianity is useless and impotent.
And the Lord Jesus Christ has opened the door for Islam to discipline those apostate christians who do not know God.

Also, why do you teach something you do NOT fully understand ? And why do you teach that we must accept a nonsensical lie by faith ?
Who told you to say that ?

You said, “I have loved my life in the Lord and can not imagine being without Him now.’

Tell me, which LORD are you talking about, is Jehovah or Yahweh, or is it Jesus ? or is it both of them ? or is it all THREE of them ?
And if it is BOTH of them, then don’t call THEM ‘HE or HIM’.

Paul,

Your last comment is regarding what Laurie and myself have written, I can only speak regarding what I myself have written.

Regarding what is said by Paul, Sylvanus and Timothy, in their letter to the churches at Thessalonia in 2 Thessalonians ch. 1, v.1 and 2 reads:-
'To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.'
V. 3 reads:-
We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other'

These are the ones that the letter is speaking to, those who have increasing faith and show love toward each other. Do you come into this category Paul?

Regarding what I have said here:-
' 'I have loved my life in the Lord and can not imagine being without Him now.’ That is correct - I do love my life in Jesus, Whom God the Father has made my Lord, (as is written in Acts ch. 2 v. 36 by the apostle Peter:- 'Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified,' both Lord and Christ! and can not imagine my life without Him.'

You have said what you are saying in your comment many times to several bloggers - you really need to look at what the written Word says Paul, not what the doctrine you follow says.

Also, why are you not answering my question regarding which Adam you are referring to?

Paul G said...

Brenda,
When you give someone an ‘amen’ or you agree with them in your comments, then you believe and say the same as the other person.

Laurie is a trinitarian, I have read her post about the trinity and I know exactly what she believes and teaches.
Even though you claim not to be a trinitarian, but in reality you believe the same lie as all trinitarians, except, you are worse than the trinitarians.

As I have said in a previous comment, that trinitarians believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is also GOD, but you don’t believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty, you believe that an unknown god is God and you call him Yahweh while you demote the Lord Jesus Christ to a mere man.

Brenda, love is telling you the truth, love does NOT agree with a lie. Love risks rejection for the sake of truth, and love does NOT compromise. Love warns you of danger ahead and does not pat your back on the way to destruction.
And JESUS Christ is love, and NOT Yahweh.

You have said, “You have said what you are saying in your comment many times to several bloggers - you really need to look at what the written Word says Paul, not what the doctrine you follow says.”

Well, don’t you think that I can read the written Word of God as good as anyone else ? My claim is, that I can do better than that, that is because I personally know the author of the Scriptures.

Just for your record, the author of the Scriptures is my Father who is in heaven the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, nothing came into being apart from Him (John 1:3-10), including the Scriptures.
And don’t think that your father Yahweh wrote the Scriptures Brenda. Your father Yahweh is NOT the truth, but the Lord Jesus Christ IS the truth (John 14:6).

You said, “I have loved my life in the Lord and can not imagine being without Him now.’ That is correct - I do love my life in Jesus, Whom God the Father has made my Lord, (as is written in Acts ch. 2 v. 36 by the apostle Peter:- 'Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified,' both Lord and Christ! and can not imagine my life without Him.”

Brenda, you should say that you can not imagine your life without THEM, Jesus and Yahweh. Remember, you don’t believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty.

Because you don’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, therefore you cannot understand His Word the Scriptures and neither can you discern between a metaphor and realities.
For you a metaphor is reality, even though the Lord Jesus told you that concerning the Father He was speaking figuratively (metaphorically), just the same as for you the earth has still literally FOUR CORNERS (Isaiah 11:12 and Revelation 7:1 etc.).

Brenda said...

Paul,
I say 'amen' to what I agree with.
It is quite obvious that you try to change what a person has written - and also what is written in the scriptures. You can not do this though because anyone who reads anything that is written only has to go back to what is written - whether that be in the scriptures or in a persons blog posts and comments.

If you are referring to my saying that Laurie was one hundred percent right when she wrote in a comment to me recently:-
'May we have childlike faith to trust in God and His Word, not relying on our own intelligence, strength, good works, or understanding. If we acknowledge Him in all our ways, He will direct our paths'
Yes I do agree with what she has said here. Whatever Word is spoken to me through those scriptures has to be acted upon by me. I am only responsible for working out my own salvation. ('working out' means acting on the word spoken to me not just hearing it) I can encourage other brothers and sisters through my testimonies being shared but each has to grow in the Lord as they learn from what they are taught.

You appear to be so confused in your doctrine Paul that I believe I have to take Tim's advice here also and leave you alone. There appears to be a spirit within you that is out to attack believers in Christ continually, and there is only one spirit that does that. It is not the Holy Spirit that Jesus said would lead us into all truth.

Brenda said...

How strange Paul,
I just went into my kitchen and notice that my clock on the wall in there stopped forty minutes ago. That was just about when I started to read your last comment on my blog. I believe it is a sign from the Lord to stop communicating with you, as I just realized that He gave me the scripture about shaking the dust off my feet regarding communicating with you previously. I had forgotten that.

Brenda said...

Hi Choo Say,
nice to meet you. I visited your blog but there appear to be no posts yet.

Paul G said...

Interesting , you seem to be able to judge by what spirit I am speaking.
Let’s see what the Scriptures say, (1 Cor. 12:3) ,’and no one can say, “JESUS IS LORD,” except by the Holy Spirit.’
And the Scriptures can’t be broken.

We both know that everyone can say that Jesus is Lord, even the demons and and a parrot can say that, and even some believers said to Jesus on that day “Lord Lord”, but what they can not say is that the Lord Jesus Christ is the LORD God Almighty the creator of heaven and earth, the Alpha and the Omega the first and the last, the beginning and the end and that beside the LORD Jesus Christ is NO other one who is called LORD GOD.

Well, can you say that ?

Paul G said...

John 14:26 Jesus said, that the Holy Spirit will bring to your remembrance ALL that I have said.
And in John 15:26 Jesus said that when a man testifies or preaches Jesus Christ, he is actually speaking by the Holy Spirit.
And no one can say ‘Jesus is Lord’ (meaning God) except only when he speaks by the Holy Spirit.
But to say that Jehovah or Yahweh or Allah is god, that is NOT speaking by the Holy Spirit but by another spirit (2 Cor.11:3-4), but my testimony is Jesus Christ.

Keith said...

Hi Brenda, I have to somewhat agree with one thing Paul wrote, that the Holy Spirit will bring things, to our remembrance. The key difference is that God's Holy Spirit will bring, to our remembrance the things that Y'shua, Jesus, said, not what Paul misrepresents.

I'm reminded of a reference, in my latest post, Galations 5:19-21.

"Now, works of the flesh present itself in sexual immorality, impurity and indecency, involvement with the worship of false gods, the use or the administering of drugs and herbs to induce an altered state, contention, excitement of mind, fervor of spirit, fierce anger; selfish ambition, partisanship, division, following their own doctrine, drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!"

All the bold characteristics are displayed, by Paul, in his comments.

I know that you and all who are reading your posts agree that we need to pray for everyone to fully understand God's will and his Word. This is especially true for Paul.

Brenda said...

Hi Keith,
I agree with all you have said here, especially regarding Paul and the bold characteristics. I do believe that we always have to pray for all men everywhere to come to the knowledge of salvation through Christ Jesus, and this I do constantly.
The Word of God also says that there is a time to speak and a time to refrain from speaking, and that God's Word can not go out and return to Him void. One thing we can not do concerning that Word, and that is to add to or take away from it.

Paul G said...

Hi Keith,
What do you mean by God’s Holy Spirit ?
(John 4:24) God IS the Holy Spirit; do you think that God who is Spirit, also has a Holy Spirit ?
It seems to me that you have a great confusion of spirits.
And don’t you believe that the Lord Jesus Christ IS the Holy Spirit ? (2 Cor. 3:17)
And don’t you believe that the FATHER of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit ?

Well my friend, by now you must be more confused than before ;-)
Just read the Scriptures, in Luke 1:35 The angel said to Mary, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God’.
Obviously the Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus :-) and don’t you believe that Jesus is the Father (John 10:30) and the Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 3:17) ?

I think that by now, normal sinners would repent in sackcloth and ashes, but what about you ?

Concerning worship;
Now wonder why you don’t worship the Lord Jesus Christ.
Because you don’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ therefore you worship another god called Yahweh, a god not even mentioned in the Bible.
But I and we worship the LORD our only God (Jude 1:25) Jesus Christ just like they did in Matthew 28:9 and the wise men in Matthew 2:11 and in John 9:38 and many more.

Well, will you worship the Lord Jesus Christ ? What is holding you back ?
Is He not enough GOD for you, or what ?
God’s will for you is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul G said...

Brenda, you said, “One thing we can not do concerning that Word, and that is to add to or take away from it.”

Then Why do you add another god to the Lord Jesus Christ ? someone called Yahweh who is not mentioned in the Scriptures.
If you would believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Word, then why do you add another one to the Word which is Jesus Christ the LORD ?

Keith said...

Brenda, Did you notice that a little truth is coming from Paul, when he said, "Obviously the Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus." The truth is there. Please pray with me.

Father, please open our eyes, especially Paul's, to the your truth. May we always worship you and lift your name up as the one and only God. Please Let It Be, in the name of YHWH Saves, Y'shua.

Brenda said...

Yes I did notice exactly the same as you did regarding Paul, Keith. How beautiful is our Father Who wants all to be saved, and has a wonderful way of doing it.

Father I agree in prayer with Keith that You open our eyes, including Paul's, to the truth. May we always worship You and lift Your name up as the One and only God.
Thank You that You have enabled us to become Your children, born not of the flesh but of the Holy Spirit, so that we can be One with You and with Y'shua Your beloved Son - the firstborn of many brethren.
We ask this in the name of YHWH Saves, Y'shua. Amen and thank You Father.

Paul G said...

Hi Keith,
A little truth ?
I don’t preach a little truth, I preach THE Truth (John 14:6).
I preach Jesus Christ who IS the Truth and not Yahweh (John 14:6).

If the Lord Jesus IS the Holy Spirit as the Scriptures said in 2 Cor. 3:17, then the Lord Jesus Christ IS the Father who overshadowed Mary.
After all, Jesus said, “I and the Father are ONE”.

I thought that the Lord Jesus has given you a sound mind and not a spirit of confusion.

Paul G said...

Brenda,
To which Father are you praying ?
It seems to me that you are praying to the wrong Father and for that reason he has NOT opened your eyes.
If He would have opened your eyes, you surely would see it and give me an AMEN.

And who do you worship, Jesus Christ (as they worshipped Jesus in Mat. 28:9), or do you worship another god called Yahweh ?

Brenda, you said, “so that we can be One with You and with Y'shua Your beloved Son - the firstborn of many brethren.
We ask this in the name of YHWH Saves, Y'shua. Amen and thank You Father.”

So then, do you think that we are ONE with TWO of them ? all of us be ONE with TWO of them?
And why do you say ‘YHWH Saves’, when you really know that there is NO other Name given which is Jesus.

Just tell me Brenda, what is the reason why you do NOT like to use God’s one and only Name Jesus ?

Paul G said...

You see Brenda, no one else is going to tell you the truth.
They might pat your back to make you feel good but they will not tell you the truth.
Remember, the truth is Jesus Christ and not a doctrine (John 14:6), and truth does not agree with with a lie.

What do you think will happen if the blind leads the blind ? well, we both know what is going to happen to both of them, therefore it is important to believe the truth.
And you should NOT give thanks to a god who is NOT God for giving you Jesus, but rather you should thank Jesus for coming into this world to save sinners like us.

Paul G said...

Look Brenda, your friends are not believing you either.
There is a BIG difference between what you believe and what many of your friends believe.
Many of your friends believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is GOD, but they are not going to tell you because they don’t want to upset you and perhaps lose favour.

In fact most theologians teach that the Lord Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty, whether they believe it or not, I don’t know.
And that is the foundation doctrine of all Christianity.

The reason I do NOT quote a lot of Scriptures is, because most people don’t believe the Scripture anyway. Christians and non Christians alike, without thinking they refuse to believe what the Scriptures is ACTUALLY saying.

I give you an example:
Mark 12:29 Jesus answered, “Hear, O Israel ! The Lord our God is one Lord;”
Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel ! The Lord our God, the Lord is one !”

Even if I QUOTE that verse a 100 times, people just don’t want to believe that the Lord our God is ONE.
Just as Israel, stubborn and stiff-necked they say that the Lord is one and God is another one which equals TWO.
They say that there is ONE Lord AND ONE God, which equals TWO and then they add another one and call it a TRINITY.

Well, I think in that they are WILFULLY ignorant !
If they don’t believe Mark 12:29 they will not believe Jeremiah 4:22.

Brenda, that ought not to be so with you. You ought to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone and in NO other.

Good Post. I believe that it is quite evident that Satan has caused many fractures in the church today, with so many different doctrines.

Hi anonymous, I totally agree with you.

Be careful about going to some of these people's blogs. Many are just spam and use cookies to spam your blog. They are not real people. You may want to add some filter.

And I see the clanging of cymbals took over this post too. You know the truth. Keep posting and I love your songs.

Example is harada and choo. They are not real people. That is why they do not have posts on their sites.

Thank you Tim,
how do I add filter?

Looks like you got it. You go to home page, under settings, go to posts, comments, and sharing. Look at comments section. You can change things such as you can moderate all comments. You can read them before you publish them. There is word verification. The "click to show you're not a robot" is on your page but I don't know if that really stops spammers.

Thank you Tim.

Dear Brenda,
I agree with you that there is a time to speak and a time to refrain from speaking. But praise God that we can always lift up others to Him in prayer, even when we are Spirit-led to refrain from speaking. May God continue to bless you for sharing His Word. He has commanded us to sow the seed, and only He can bring the increase.
Love and prayers for you and your ministry.

That is right Laurie,
