Perseverance and prayer

A few nights ago I lay in bed thinking quite negatively about growths that have been in my body for many years, and wondering if the Lord is going to heal me.  They first started to appear after I asked Him to teach me about sickness and healing, because I did not understand why I had some prayers answered and yet not others. Many strange, supernatural things have happened in my life, including a miraculous healing in my body since I have been born again of God's Spirit.  I have even being transported from one road to another in my car instantly (which no one would have believed if another person had not been in the car with me), so I know absolutely that what  is not possible with man is possible with God.
After I asked the Lord to teach me about sickness and healing it was pointed out to me through scripture not to go to the world for help, but to trust the Lord to heal me.  I have since been through many trials and have been strengthened many times through scripture spoken to me in my times of weakness, even experiencing some healings, but am still going through trials in my physical body.

Jesus is the Word of God and when I asked the Lord to teach me about sickness and healing He brought to my attention Psalm 103 which speaks about all the benefits in the Lord including verse 3 which states that He forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. This shows me that doubt within the carnal mind is the only thing that can prevent my healing from coming to pass.

Another scripture that came to my mind during the night was  2 Corinthians ch. 10 v.5 'We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.'  This is a very hard thing to do as Satan's questioning in the carnal mind can be a strong enemy and cause us to question God's Word to us just as it did to Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. The simplest of experiences can be a good example of how what is in the mind can veer us away from doing something.  One of these is that I am trying to stay on a bit of a diet and yet chocolate biscuits and Mars bars  keep coming into my mind constantly :-)
This is what James ch. 1 v.6 says about 'doubt'
'But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind'

Total belief in that Word  has the power to bring into existence that which does not exist, WHEN we believe, including physical healing. For Mark 11 v.23 says:- 'For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.'
Although I have had many things come upon my body, and am still going through trials, I see that the scriptures say that we glory in tribulations because they teach us patience, and regarding trials James ch. 1 vs. 2, 3 and 4 state:-  'Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.'

So I feel that I have to persevere in my trials and gradually come to erase all of Satan's questioning from my carnal mind to be able to have 'faith' in God's Word to me.

Some years ago I bought a picture in a church table top sale, it was of a young girl who was sat on a chair, outside a shed, blowing bubbles. Some time later I came across an ornament. It has a  picture of the same girl, in what appeared to be an open book, with a poem attached to it.

I have these items in my workroom and am being spoken to by the Lord through them once again.  The Lord has seen my weakness and is reminding me once again that all things are possible with Him and is encouraging me to have faith to know that He will do what He has promised. Even the meaning of the young girl's name Amy (dearly loved) is reminding me that we are dearly loved by the Lord.  It is a beautiful time of strengthening me against the spiritual enemy.

On the left side of the book is a poem that speaks about having 'faith', it is called 'Dreams', and as I read this once more that morning I felt it was the Lord encouraging me once again through it to have faith in Him.

In the large picture of the young girl there is the name 'Amy' , scratched into the door behind her, that I could barely see. I am reminded that Jesus is the 'door to the sheepfold' and in John ch. 10 vs. 9 and 10 He says:-
'I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.   The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly'

As part of His body we have to stay within Him, ( as the name 'Amy' being scratched in the door was reflecting to me), acting upon that Word spoken to us, in order to be the true church, for 'as a man thinks so he is.' Just as Jesus prayed constantly to His Father so too we have to constantly pray to God
1 Corinthians ch. 12 vs. 7-11 states:-
'Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.  To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit,  to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit,  to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determine

We are told in Hebrews ch. 13 v. 8 that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.'  and in Revelation ch. 19 v. 13 that He is the Word of God.

I say this prayer to our Father God.

Father I ask in Jesus' name, that the gifts of the Holy Spirit will act within Your church, and that any unbelief that doubt brings upon us will be removed and You will increase our faith. Amen and thank You father.

Amen to that lovely prayer Brenda.

What an encouraging message to always have faith and trust in God not allowing doubt to hinder our prayers. God is indeed the same yesterday, today and forever. God bless Brenda and thanks again for dropping by my blog. :-)

Amen to your prayer sister Brenda. This reminds me when Paul asked God to remove the "thorn in the flesh" three times yet the Lord didn't and told him that His grace was enough and in his weakness, His power is made perfect. To me, it just showed that God was always in control, he must depend on Him at all times no matter what circumstances , and that would also prevent any spiritual pride from residing in Paul's heart. I believe in the power of incessant prayers. Our lifeline which is a vital link between us, believers and Him. I pray that you would get your answers.

"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you." - Romans 8:11

Blessings to you sister Brenda. May you always stay strong with the power God gives.

Also, what wisdom from a heart who always seeks the Word. Like a bubbling brook. Like that girl blowing bubbles with joy and unaware to the cares of this world. His Word that gives life. Glory be to God! It's a beautiful image. Thank you for sharing and reminding how important to always have faith!!!

Hi Sandi,
lovely to see you. I am determined to stand firm in endeavouring to believe every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.
All glory to our Father God and to His Son Jesus, our beautiful Saviour.

Hi Sateigdra.
Thank you for your 'Amen' to my prayer. After experiencing what the Spiritual gifts of God can do, it would be very hard not to trust. However the enemy is very cunning, and that is why it is always important to see what that Word says when Satan speaks into our carnal mind. I even noticed not that long ago that the speakers attached to my computer have the word 'trust' on them. How amazing is that!
God bless you Sateigdra on your journey to the promised land, and I love visiting your blog as I do all others. I just don't do it enough.

Hi RCUBE,
Thank you for visiting. I love how the Lord speaks to us through the simplest of things, and I have had several instances where things have been doubled, as when acquiring the picture of the girl Amy in two separate car boot sales. Yes, the 'thorn in the flesh' incident was also used by the Holy Spirit to encourage me to continue to trust in the Lord's Word to me. Satan was allowed to test Job but Job endured and had victory eventually, but only by seeking the Lord and interacting with Him. We have to do this through that Word in order to be able to know God and learn His ways.

Sandi said...

I wonder what the story is behind the Amy painting. I mean, the artist's inspiration.

"I have even being transported from one road to another in my car instantly (which no one would have believed if another person had not been in the car with me)..." I believe it. I have heard of this happening to two different pastors.

Regarding Matthew 11:23, do you think this applies even if a believer says something flippantly and in jest? I can think of two instances where I joked about something happening and later wished I hadn't. Both things happened.

Brenda said...

Hi Sandi,
I think because I later came across the same picture with the poem 'Dreams' attached to it the artist's inspiration could well have been 'faith', because one line in that poem is 'For faith is a mover of mountains', and that originates from the Bible.
So glad that you have heard of others who have been transported. My friend and I had been to visit prisoners on a lifers' wing and one of them asked us to go to visit his mother to talk to her about some of the scripture we shared with him. We decided not to that day as we were a bit nervous, thinking maybe she would not want us to. In the prison we only went into cells where they wanted to talk to us, we had keys. After that visit I started to go down the road to take us home and suddenly we were on a completely different road. I pulled into the curb, and right in front of us was a forked road with a very large house in between the roads, the name on the gate was the one the prisoner had given us regarding his mother's house. It was so supernatural that we could not bring ourselves to go in, even though I had experienced supernatural things previously - but not like that!
We drove home and really regretted it, knowing that it was set up by the Lord. We were too young in the Spirit at that time to accept it.

Regarding Matthew ch. 11, I think there are many things we do not have full knowledge of yet, this morning I was thinking of where it says in Hebrews ch. 6 that it is impossible if we fall away to renew us again to repentance as we crucify to ourselves the Son of God afresh.
Because that Word is a living Word, the same in all timescales, I believe it is used to guide us into all truth, and bring us into obedience to God, in a way that is not natural. The things of God are foolishness to the carnal mind, and I know that Word can speak to me now in the same way it would have spoken to a person thousands of years ago.(Even John the Baptist went in the spirit of Elijah) That is because Jesus' Words are Spirit and life, and time means nothing to God, He could even have three people from three different eras come together at the top of a mountain.

Brenda said...

Just to add Sandi, the more I come to learn God's ways the more I love and respect Him and want to become like Him through Jesus. Who wouldn't?

Sandi said...

Oops...I meant Mark, not Matthew.

This is the verse I was thinking of:

"...For Mark 11 v.23 says:- 'For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.' ..."

Your story about being at the prisoner's mom's house tugged at my heart. You know what? He will take care of her. He was willing to move you there for her, the Lord will not give up just because you were startled.

Brenda said...

I know Sandi, that was the beginning of the Lord teaching me a d my friend that He can do all things. I believe that faith can do all things, but I also believe that we would have to know what is right and wrong with God before we would have the ability to move a mountain.

Dear Brenda,
I agree with you that unanswered prayer can be a cause of feelings of discouragement, and could become a deterrent against further prayer for the carnal minded Christian.
I know, I myself had gone through that experience with a feeling of deflation afterwards.
Such as praying for my wife Alex and a full restoration of her health to the level she had on our wedding day!
After much prayer and supplications, she remains partially disabled with no sign of improvement.
However, what I have learned out of this experience is the responsibility placed on me as a carer, which has much spiritual growth from endurance, along with the development of patience and other good fruits. There is full evidence that through these experiences, God has already spoken to us.
God bless.

Brenda said...

Hi Frank,
I agree absolutely that our trials can produce perseverance and patience. I remember looking up the word 'patience' once, and the description in the dictionary I used was 'The ability to endure with calmness'. I asked the Lord to teach me 'patience' and within several weeks I was working in a care home :-) The Lord knows exactly what to do and how to do it.
I believe absolutely there is a time for everything, and recently I have felt certain scriptures come very strongly into my mind including the ones I have put into this post. As I have experienced the power of God that my carnal mind can not accept, and as Sandi has written in her comment, now been encouraged by her revealing the two pastors' experiences, I know absolutely that I must continue in prayer for the completely supernatural gifts of the Spirit to come into the church.
We have a God Who can do all things, Who can even remove all doubt from our carnal minds through the instruction contained in His Word.
It can be compared to different languages. If I speak the French language with a percentage of English in the conversation, then the English words will be subtracting from the conversation. This is what the enemy is doing through the carnal mind, but we have been given the mind of Christ through the gift of the Holy Spirit, and there is an on-going battle which belongs to the Lord, not us. That is why I believe prayer is so important.
It is nice to discuss this with you and other bloggers Frank,
God bless you and Alex.

Hi Brenda, That’s why keeping our mind on the task at hand and on the ultimate goal is so important. It’s very important to keep every errant thought and moment captive and set on God alone. Being Echad with God allows us to set up priorities in proper perspective. Doing so amazingly causes our infirmaries to pass as whispers in the wind. Knowing very well that our unanswered prayers are indeed answers that don’t fit our frame of mind but perfectly fits the intricate puzzle of our lives which is designed by God.

Brenda said...

Hi Keith,
Yes, it is very important to distinguish between the voice of God speaking through the mind of Christ, which we have when we are in the body of Christ, and the voice of the devil which will question that Word through the carnal mind.
I love what Jesus said when He was being tempted by the devil:- 'But Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God' Matthew ch. 4 v.5.
I want to try my hardest to live by every Word spoken to me and not just a few.
Just because I do not get answers immediately, which I have experienced in my miraculous healing, it does not mean that I will not in other circumstances have to go through trials to strengthen me and test my faith. That Word has the power to bring into existence that which does not exist, and there is a time for everything.

Hi Brenda,
Beautiful and encouraging post, as always. Agreeing with you in prayer for healing. There are instances in Scripture in which Jesus healed others instantly, but when He healed one blind man, this occurred in stages, so that first he saw only forms and shadows before his sight was completely restored. Paul knew that he would not be healed at all from his thorn in the flesh because Jesus told him that His grace is sufficient. Whatever God's plan is for our life, I believe He will reveal it to us if we listen for His still small voice.
God bless you,
Laurie

Keith said...

That’s why it’s so important to be one Echad with God and one mind with each other, Brenda. Once you are Echad with God, Satan is automatically rebuked. The Word of God rolls right off the tip of your tongue, as it was with the Messiah. No need to distinguish. I agree that it’s hard at times, but as you know, that’s our carnality and our personal free will choice to obey or disobey. Our battle, and Satan knows it, is to follow after or shun temptation. It’s always our personal choice. That’s what make me angry sometimes. I give in to my weaknesses, instead of being strong in God’s Spirit.

Brenda said...

Hi Laurie,
that is right, the blind man's healing happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. Paul the apostle was given a thorn in the flesh, and that was to keep him from being conceited - he knew that. There is a reason for everything. Regarding my trials, the Lord has spoken many scriptures to me since I asked Him to teach me about healing. Even though when I've had to sign up to surgeries when we lived in different parts of the UK in order to show that we are resident in that area there was concern regarding my health, I know the Lord has told me to trust only in Him. Sometimes it is hard but the perfect timing of the scriptures being emphasized to me have been incredible, and have literally been my strength.

Brenda said...

Hi Keith,
Yes that is right. When we are 'one' with God in the way that 'oneness' is described in the Bible then we have the mind of Christ and act on the Word spoken to us. To do as God tells us to do, discarding the fear caused by what the devil speaks in our carnal minds, is the only way that we can learn God's ways and become the new creation we are meant to be. The doubt that the enemy causes us to have through the carnal mind can prevent access to the gifts that God wants us to have through unbelief. Sometimes we find it hard to act on the Word of God that is being spoken to us because our carnal mind will say that the outcome of what God is asking us to do will be harmful to us. Yet in my life I believe that if I had not acted upon the Word of encouragement spoken to me I would not be here. There is a reason for everything and I believe all of our trials are not only to strengthen us, but are also to encourage others as they go through their trials. Because I have seen and experienced the supernatural gifts of God I really want those gifts to be operating within His church, and not to be cancelled out by man's traditions and unbelief.

Where you say in your comment 'Our battle, and Satan knows it, is to follow after or shun temptation. It’s always our personal choice', I totally agree, and one of those temptations is to listen to Satan saying 'DID GOD SAY?'. I want my answer to that to be 'GET BEHIND ME SATAN'.

Hi Brenda, I'm so sorry to hear about your health struggles—I'm also dealing with several and a brand new one. I'll add what you mentioned at the top of this post to my prayers.

A long time ago I read a book about a man smuggling Bibles behind the Iron Curtain. He also said he was miraculously transported on one of his journeys. I believe I was too. I was on a long drive and running late to an important engagement I had and was nervously watching the clock knowing I had a miles to go—and began praying to God to help get me there quickly. As I prayed it was like I went into a daydream and when I looked up I was pulling into the parking lot of where I needed to go—RIGHT ON TIME.

God is truly speaking to you. It is so wonderful you purchased that painting and then also found it in a book with words that speak to you. I love that you draw parallels to her name on the door—God's dear love for his children and you—and Jesus at the door of our hearts.

Thank you for sharing from your heart—and including the scripture references. God is using your talents to speak to the world about him!

God Bless and heal you Brenda!

Brenda said...

Jephyr,
it is so lovely to have encouraging brothers and sisters in our 'blogger church'. Thank you for your comment and your testimony of being transported on that road. It is something that does not make any sense to the carnal mind, as I know myself, but we have absolute evidence that it is true.
The lovely thing is that we learn from everything that the Lord brings us through, and when we endure trials we are not only strengthened by them but we can also see the miraculous powers of God, which our carnal minds can not understand. Many would say that I was foolish to ask the Lord to teach me about sickness and healing but I believe it was absolutely meant to be as 'every day in our lives is written in His book before even one of them was formed', and His Word spoken to me about not going to the world for help was so strong that it is the only thing that could have helped me to do this. What is coming into my mind as I write this, and was probably one of the scriptures the Holy Spirit has encouraged me with in the past is Proverbs ch. 30 v. 5 :- 'Every word of God proves true; He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.'
May we all continue to be strong in the Lord by endeavouring to act on the Word spoken to us in our trials, and share our experiences with one another, thereby overcoming the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony, and may we continue to pray for one another.
God bless and heal you too Jephyr.

Hi Brenda, "Blogger Church" <—I like that. :)

Yes — God's tells us in 1 Corinthians 1:18 that "the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." And I love to hear people share about the miracles that go beyond our human reason. It is for sure "evidence" of Him and His work in our lives.

Thank you as always. You continue to be in my prayers. God Bless!

Yes Jephyr
that is so right about sharing. It was lovely to hear, after I put this post up that Sandi, one of the commenters on this post, that she had heard of two pastors who had the 'transportation' experience. How wonderful is that for us to hear of others who have experienced what we have. I absolutely love it! We shall continue to do what 1 Thessalonians ch. 5 v.11 tells us to do eh?

'Therefore encourage and build one another up, just as you are already doing.'

Father, we thank You for Your encouragement to trust in You through Your Word, and pray that both Jephyr and myself will both be healed from what Satan has inflicted upon us. We thank you Father that all things work together for good when we love You, which we do, and that there is a purpose in everything. We ask You this in Jesus name, Amen and thank You Father

For certain, it is awesome to hear about God's wonderful and mysterious workings and evidence in our lives. :)

I love that verse from Thessalonians. The Bible is filled with reminders to encourage, comfort, exhort, and pray, etc, for one another—and it is is such a Blessing when the family of God operates in everything our Lord intended us to do for each other.

Thank you so much for your lovely prayer. This morning I feel MUCH improved and the infection has reduced considerably—and am thanking God for that. I just prayed again for your healing as well, and for God's Perfect Peace and Comfort to be over you.

God Bless you, Brenda!

Brenda said...

Hallelujah Jephyr for the improvement you are receiving from the Lord.

As I have said before (I am terrible for repeating myself :-)), or as it is written, that Word has the ability to bring into existence that which does not exist, and as I have experienced God's supernatural abilities I will continue to do my utmost to trust in God's Word as I go through my trials. I am confident that you will too.
God bless you Jephyr.

Jephyr,
immediately after posting my last comment I just went to open my Bible to read, as I do each morning, and opened straight to Job ch. 2.
The header at the top of the page reads:- 'Job's affliction and patience'.
Nothing is coincidence.

Hi Brenda, how many years have you been praying for your god to heal you ?
Is it ten years, or fifteen years or more ?
And he still doesn't listen ?
Or, does he want to teach you a lesson, or what ?

Imagine, the Lord Jesus comes along and He would have a pathetic excuse and heal you only partially or only a little bit, and then tell you that He could not heal you completely because you first must be taught a lesson.
Or even worse, .. Well, I don’t think I need to tell you more, I hope you get the picture.

You see Brenda, my God and FATHER the Lord Jesus Christ is a LOT BETTER than your god and father Yahweh.
I mean a LOT BETTER !!
Matthew 12:15 “Many followed Him, and He healed them ALL, and warned them not to tell who He was.”
How many did He heal ?
He healed them ALL !
Not partially but COMPLETELY !
Luke 6:19 “And all the people were trying to touch Him, for power was coming from Him and healing them ALL.”
Whatever their complaint was, He healed them ALL !

Can you see how good and majestic MY God and Father, the Lord Jesus Christ is ?

Look Brenda, you need to repent, STOP playing church, all of YOU !

And don’t ascribe to your god Yahweh for the things which my God does.
My God and Father gives healing to everyone, even to the wicked and to the godless alike.
Therefore don’t glorify a god who is by nature NOT God.

Brenda said...

Hello Paul,
My waiting on the Lord has been to teach me about sickness and healing, which is what I asked the Father to do about twenty eight to thirty years ago. I have had various healings since that time. However, because I previously experienced a miracle myself in a church in Adelaide many years ago, yet since that time many prayers many times in many places have not been answered, I asked the Lord to teach me about this. During the time He has been doing this I have learned many things, including patience, endurance, learning to love and pray for those who do not love me, and learning to recognize the different spirits.
1 John ch. 4 vs. 1-3 states:-
'Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you will know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming, and is already in the world at this time.…'

I think everyone who reads your comment will recognize the spirit within you Paul, and I ask the Father in Jesus name that this spirit will be removed from you. Amen.

Paul G said...

Yes Brenda, you have been telling me that before and that is very good.
I do not have a problem with that, but I have a problem with the god you call your father.
Remember, my Father the Lord Jesus Christ says to you, John 14:7 "If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."

Well Brenda, what is the Lord Jesus Christ saying to you ?
Is He saying that you should have another Father, other than the Lord Jesus Christ ?
A father called Yahweh ?

I think you know well that any other father can't heal you, and neither can he hear your prayer at the end of your comment.

Brenda said...

Paul,
as I have also told you many times before, it depends what that Word, which is a living Word, is speaking to each individual. I have been shown through Romans ch. 8 vs. 28 and 29:-
'And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers.'

I also, through my near death experience, knew that I had been to that place (the third heaven that Paul the apostle speaks of in 2 Corinthians ch. 12 v.2).

Whatever we are called to do in the Lord's body (the church on earth) we must endeavour to do. I know through my trials I have learned more and more that God can do what man can not do. I have shared many of this in my blog over the years, and I continue to endeavour to do whatever I am called to do. The more I act upon that Word the more my faith grows, and I will share my experiences for as long as the Lord wants me to, as the Holy Spirit leads me into all truth.
Our journey is spiritually the same as the Israelites journey to the promised land, and that Word spoken to us is spiritually the 'manna' that was given to the Israelites on their journey to the promised land.
In John ch. 16 v.33 Jesus says:- 'I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!' and I have to say that I have peace in Him, and simply share my testimonies in this blog.
If I had not asked to be taught about sickness and healing I probably would not be here because as I have said in previous posts one of the first verses spoken to me after I asked this was 2 Chronicles ch.16 v.12:- ' In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa became diseased in his feet, and it became increasingly severe. Yet even in his illness he did not seek the LORD, but only the physicians.'

I have no more I can say regarding this really Paul, as I have said all of it in my previous posts, which you have continually argued against.
There are many bloggers who interact and build one another up, and also pray for one another, and I love the unity between them and how the more we trust in that Word and show the 'love' as defined in 1 Corinthians ch. 13 vs. 4 and 5, the more we can gain from that Word.

Laurie Collett said...

Amen, Brenda, God works all things together for those who love Him, Who are the called according to His purpose. His timing is always perfect, even when His "delay" causes us to be impatient or fearful. I believe that one of the great blessings in Heaven will be when He reveals to us how He worked through each of our trials for our ultimate good and His glory.

God bless you,
Laurie

Yes Brenda, I know that the Lord Jesus Christ had marvellously saved you here in Australia, no doubt about that.

That was the time when the Lord Jesus called you to Himself, but then you have departed from the one who has bought you with the price of His blood.
But the Lord Jesus Christ rich in His mercies sent you His ambassador, also from Australia to call you back again onto Himself.

Remember, my Father the Lord Jesus Christ is a jealous God, (Exodus 34:14) the Lord whose name is jealous is a jealous God.) He does not tolerate you having another god next to the only true God the Lord Jesus Christ (1 John 5:20), therefore He is patiently calling you back unto Himself.

Look Brenda, the Lord Jesus doesn't ask you something which you can’t do, He ask you simply, that you turn away from your other god and serve Him ONLY.

And Yes, you need to do that publicly, before all the people.
Remember the Lord Jesus said, ‘If you deny Me before men, I also will deny you before my Father who is in heaven’ (Matthew 10:33.

Paul, There is a simple solution to your misunderstanding. Read the Bible and all your man made doctrines will fade away.

Paul G said...

Keith, I do NOT have a misunderstanding, and I am very clear in that.
If you think so, then point it out from the Scriptures the Bible, and I prove you wrong.

Look my friend, you make it very hard for Brenda and you are a stumbling block for her.
However, the word of the Lord Jesus Christ is for you too, and you also need to repent of your false god called Yahweh.

Well my friend, there is no nice way of saying that, but you need to listen carefully what my Father the Lord Jesus Christ has to say to you.

Brenda said...

Paul,
One thing that comes into my mind at this moment is 1 Corinthians ch. 13 vs. 1-7:-

'If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.'

We must all test ourselves here to see if any of these things are in us, thereby causing us to be a 'clanging cymbal'.

The sacrifice of our beloved Saviour was so that we could learn Gods' ways, and be transformed by the renewing of our minds through the Holy Spirit leading us into all truth.
This is an on-going process as we grow in Christ, and we come to recognize the spirits through the teaching of the Holy Spirit.

Paul, what you have said to Keith, regarding YOU proving him wrong, can be seen as pride and blasphemy, as it only the written Word of scripture that can 'prove' us right or wrong.

Brenda said...

Hi Laurie,
sorry, I have just realized that I did not respond to your comment. I totally agree with all you have said regarding working all things together and delay, there is a time for everything.
God bless you Laurie.

Keith said...

Paul, I think there is no one here that would disagree that the Word of God is the key. All I ask you is to actually read it. Your scriptural misunderstandings will be evident in the light of the scriptures. We must take in the full counsel of God, not just pick and choose, like you do. God and and we are asking you to shine the light of the scriptures on your doctrines. Why would you object to that?

Keith said...

Brenda, you quoted, “If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels...” That, my friend is the reason why there are some who don’t understand or ignore us. We are speaking the tongue of heavenly realm. Paul and other worldly people will not understand and even fight against God and his Word. The only solution is becoming well versed in his Word.

Paul G said...

Brenda, I speak in tongues to my Lord, but to you I speak with understanding.
You may think that I do not have love, but everyone who tells you the truth loves you more than all those who flatter with their lips and give you false encouragements.

I know that you are spiritually sensitive and that you fully know that I speak the truth to you in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And I also know that it is not easy for you to publicly admit that you have departed from the Lord Jesus Christ and that you need to repent and turn back to your Lord who has bought you with the price of His blood.

Well Brenda, if you love the Lord Jesus Christ with all your heart, with all your mind and with all your strength, then it would be no problem for you to confess the Lord Jesus Christ and forsake all other gods.

Paul G said...

Keith, to you, your Word of God and the light of the Scriptures is NOT the Bible the 66 books.

As for me, I accept ONLY the 66 books of the Bible to be the complete Word of God, without fault, suitable for correction in doctrine and in conduct.
And the 66 books of the Bible does not need any support books in Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic etc.
The Word of God has been completed once and for all so that any man is without excuses when they stand before the judge of all Jesus Christ the Lord.

Brenda said...

I know, Keith, and I love what 1 Corinthians ch. 14 v.2 states:- For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God. Indeed, no one understands him; he utters mysteries in the Spirit.'
The things of God are foolishness to the carnal mind, and this is why we have to be born of the Holy Spirit in order to have and understand the mind of Christ. It is a learning course and we have to grow in Him, being the body of Christ on Earth, maturing with the Spirit's teaching. As we learn we can recognize the spirits, whether they be of God or of the devil. Even he can appear as an angel of light. I love the fact that no one has it all, we can all be corrected and also be used to correct.

Paul G said...

Brenda, Keith does not know what you are talking about, but I know, because I am born of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ, and therefore the Lord Jesus Christ is MY Father who is in heaven.

Brenda, if your father who is in heaven is a god called Yahweh, and is NOT the Lord Jesus Christ, then you would have been born of your father the devil, just as the Lord Jesus has told you in John 8:44.

BUT ! According to your testimony, I believe that the devil has deceived you shortly after you were born again, and the Lord Jesus Christ is calling you back to Himself.

And the way back is the way of repentance.
Starting FIRST with the Lord Jesus Christ. Remember, Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, which means the FIRST ! and then don’t look to the left nor to the right, but keep your eyes fixed upon the author and the finisher of your race.

Some will fall away from your blog, and you will lose popularity, just as it happened with our Lord, the Lord Jesus Christ.
But you, you will go from strength to strength, from glory to glory unspeakable.

Keith said...

Paul, a simple question to you. If I live in Israel and only spoke Hebrew, would I have to learn English to be able read and understand the Bible?

Keith said...

Brenda, I wholeheartedly agree and as we have said, over and over and over again, those who speak the language of God, speaks only what is in the Bible, not adding anything nor taking away from his Word.

Paul G said...

Keith, a simple answer, you live in America and you speak English and you don’t have to learn Hebrew or Greek or Aramaic.

All you need to do is to read the Bible the 66 books; and of course, you need to believe every word which comes from the mouth of God which is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brenda said...

Paul,
my blog is not the Bible, any more than yours or anyone else's blog is. Our blogs are about interacting with one another, not arguing, and sharing our experiences and teachings from the Holy Spirit through that Word.

Brenda said...

That is right Keith,
and it is lovely to interact with people who share their experiences as they grow and mature in the Lord as children of God.

Keith said...

Once again, Paul, you didn’t answer the question, even though I didn’t expect it. As always, you deceptively deflected it. Another example that you are definitely an ambassador of your father.

Wise Hearted said...

Brenda, what an encouraging read this morning for me. I am facing an issue and trusting the Lord to heal it. Thanks for sharing.

Paul G said...

Brenda, please help me here.
You said, “I say this prayer to our Father God.
Father I ask in Jesus’ name, that the gifts of the holy Spirit will act within Your church, and that any unbelief that doubt brings upon on us will be removed and You will increase our faith. Amen and thank You father.”

Are you praying to an unbiblical god called Yahweh ?
And why ?
Isn't the God of the Bible Jesus Christ good enough for you to pray to ?

Have you been asking your father Yahweh to act within his church ?
And why didn't you ask our Father the Lord Jesus Christ to act within His Church ?
Isn’t the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ greater than the church of your father Yahweh ?

And last of all, do you think that your father Yahweh can increase your faith ?

Obviously, you are thanking your father Yahweh for the things he can’t do, and don’t thank the Lord Jesus Christ for the things He alone is able to do.

Brenda said...

Paul,
I have answered you questions many times over the years. I absolutely believe that the Lord has spoken to me through a comment that Tim has left for me on Keith's blog.

Brenda said...

Betty,
I pray that the Lord will continue to be our strength and that His Word concerning healing in Psalm 103 will be brought into existence for both of us. Amen and thank You Father in Jesus' name.

Keith said...

Brenda, I agree. Keep showing the Word of God and encourage Paul to read what is actually there. No more arguing. First and foremost, Pray for him!!

Brenda said...

Amen Keith,
there is a time for everything, even a time to refrain from speaking. I love what Mathew ch. 24 vs. 35 ans 36 say:-

'The whole world, earth and sky, will be destroyed, but my words will last forever.
Only God Knows When the Time Will Be. No one knows when that day or time will be. The Son and the angels in heaven don’t know when it will be. Only the Father knows.'

Brenda said...

Betty,
I just tried to get into your blog but a message came up saying 'this page does not exist'. I am not sure why, but there are many things I need to know about regarding technology.
God bless you.

Paul G said...

Well Brenda, Tim is NOT the word of God.
Perhaps I will remind you what the Word of God said, please read carefully, (Exo. 20:2-4) “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER gods before Me.
You shall NOT make for yourself an idol,”

And what do I see, you have made yourself a god, and you call him Yahweh, and then you are praying to him.

Brenda, this ought not to be like that.
Whether you use a slogan like, “in Jesus Name” or NOT, makes absolutely no difference.
You are violating the foundation of all Christianity, and you are teaching the rest to do the same.

Brenda, listen to the voice of the LORD your God Jesus Christ and obey.

Jephyr! said...

Hi Brenda,

Thank you so much for your kind comments above. Isn't God's Word beautiful! God is so good to confirm what we are learning when we read our Bibles! If I haven't said this before: A pastor I know believes that every time we encounter scripture it is never coincidence but directed by God.

Just today I read Revelation 12:10-11 reminding us that Satan accuses us before the Lord. 2 Timothy 2:24 says: And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing (patient). When I am harangued by someone, I also find comfort in knowing that we will know each other by our fruits: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Gentleness, Faithfulness and Self Control.

May God Richly Bless and continue to Heal you, in Jesus Name!!

Jephyr! said...

PS Brenda: I just went to edit a post and it included a sermon using Romans 16:17-18.

17 I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

I love 1 Corinthians 13:4 that begins Love is patient and kind. People reveal their true character when they are not.

Jesus is Lord!

Brenda said...

Jephyr,
Thank you so much for being faithful in the Lord. I have always believed that nothing is 'coincidence'. Your comments, and the scriptures contained within them, are perfect timing in the Lord for encouragement not only to me, but to all who it may speak to.

That Word is a 'living Word' that is spoken to each of us at the perfect time, and it is what enables us to grow in the body of Christ on earth (the true church). Time and distance means nothing, and the warfare is spiritual. for as Revelation ch. 12 v.10 states:-

'And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying: 'Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ. For the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down—he who accuses them day and night before our God.'

The more we interact as parts of the body of Christ the more we grow and remain in Him, and learn to discern between the spirits.

God bless you Jephyr.

Brenda said...

By the way Jephyr,
I too have been editing a post and have been altering it so much that I think it may cause me to turn it into another post. How crazy does that sound. Yet it is not, as I am learning daily as I grow in Him, as we all are.
God bless.

Paul G said...

Brenda, remember I said, please read carefully, (Exo. 20:2-4) “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER gods before Me.
You shall NOT make for yourself an idol,”

Who is that speaking in Exodus 20:2-4 saying, “I am the Lord your God” ?

Is that the Lord Jesus speaking ?
Or is that the lord Yahweh speaking ?

Jephyr! said...

Yes! The longer I've walked with God the more I understand that His Word is our foundation! I think often about the example Jesus set for us when He was tempted by Satan, when He responded each time with scripture: "It is written." I'm so grateful that the Lord has put this truth in my heart.

I do enjoy out internet fellowship and know my faith has been strengthened by it. So thank you as well.

I'll look forward to that new post, Brenda. It's awesome to read about your faith and the evidence, confirmation, and signs that God reveals to you.

May the Lord Jesus continue to Bless, Heal, and be with you as you walk with Him!

Hmmm :-( is there anybody else who claims to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who is able to answer this simple question of (Exo. 20:2-4), “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER gods before Me.
You shall NOT make for yourself an idol,”

Who is that speaking in Exodus 20:2-4 saying, “I am the Lord your God” ?

Is that the Lord Jesus speaking ?

What lovely and uplifting thoughts and prayers Brenda! I join with you in asking the Lord Jesus to rain down His Holy Spirit on His people in the many manifestations of His life giving and restoring benefits to His body and His bride, giving us power and strength to perform His will on earth. Bless you Brenda, perseverance, strength, patience, and humility are in Him and through Him alone.

Brenda said...

Anonymous,
I can only say 'Amen' to what you have said, and you was brought over here in order to make that statement at the perfect time. Thank you for your input into this conversation.

Brenda said...

Susan,
what is coming into my mind right now is what Jesus said in Matthew ch. 18 v.19:-
'Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven.'

I am sure that there are many people reading your comment who will agree with us regarding this. Father, we ask this in Jesus name. Amen and thank You that Your Word is true because 'It is written'.

Paul G said...

Is there absolutely not ONE who can give me a simple answer to the question of Exodus 20:2-4 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

And not even ONE ?
Well, I think that is phenomenal :-(
All those of you who claim to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and yet NOT ONE of you can answer that simple question.

Well, I think that everyone of you ought to look into the MIRROR the Scriptures, the Bible and see whether you are still in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, or whether you have departed from the Lord Jesus Christ and just playing church.

Yes I know that question was a loaded question and you are not able to answer it.
If you say ‘Jesus Christ’, then I say, why didn’t you correct Brenda for praying to a god she called father Yahweh.

If you say ‘Yahweh’, then I say, Brenda, why do you pray to an unbiblical god called father Yahweh when the Lord Jesus Christ has told you, “YOU shall have no other gods before Me”.

You said, “I say this prayer to our Father God.
Father I ask in Jesus’ name,”

Brenda, this god can NOT hear you and neither can he heal you. The only God is my Father the Lord Jesus Christ and He alone hears the prayer of His people before they even ask.

Paul G said...

Only a SON knows his Father, and whoever does not know the Father is illegitimate and does NOT belong to our Father the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus said, you know neither Me nor My Father, for, if you would have known Me, you would have known my Father also.

Chris said...

For my age God has given me perfect health. Praise God. May he give you relief from your pain. Persevere for the Man is coming. ha ha. You wouldn't want to miss that. I would like to pray for you right now.

Father please heal Brenda of her pain. Even though a miraculous healing would be greatly appreciated. Whatever your will let it be done in her life. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Hope to see you around for a while or at least until the Lord comes back for us.

Brenda said...

Thank you Chris, prayer for one another is always good. Because my near death experience took me to the beautiful third heaven spoken of by Paul, I have been shown that there is no place on earth that can compare to what comes after this life when we are born again of God's Spirit. I have been through many trials in my walk with the Lord but they have strengthened me. Many people say that I should not have asked God to teach me about sickness and healing, but I know I was meant to because I am learning many things by trusting in Him and not in man. Thank you once again for your lovely prayer. I will be here for as long as I am meant to be. There is a time to be born and a time to die for all of us. I think the Lord will be coming back very soon. God bless you

Paul G said...

Chris, please tell me, are you praying to Buddha in Jesus name ?, or are you praying to Allah in Jesus name ?, or are you praying to Jehovah in Jesus name ?, or is it to Yahweh in Jesus name ?.

Well, it seems to me that NONE of your gods can hear you.
You may as well pray to Donald Trump in Jesus name. I’m sure he can do a lot better job than anyone of your gods.

A short story;
Years back, on one of the blogs, there was a guy called John who had terminal cancer, and for two years, all the so called Christian believers prayed prayers just like you. There were hundreds, and I don’t think I exaggerate, perhaps a thousand different people who prayed for John, and he died.

Well, I tell you, my God the Lord Jesus Christ hid His face from all of them.

Keith said...

The force is strong within you, Chris. :-) LOL Ignore him.

Thank you Brenda for your comment on my post about Bud's passing..I have been rather lazy as of late when it comes to reading blogs, and I almost missed this post of yours. I am glad I did read it, as The Lord has been speaking to me in such a way lately, a firm yet gentle voice reminding me of the importance of His Word, and to be careful about my thought life..to bring all into subjection unto Him and Him alone! This scripture describes my struggle lately..and the struggle is not necessary except that I have allowed many things to set themselves up in my life where they do not belong, where only God should be.
Corinthians ch. 10 v.5 'We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.'
~Blessings & Love~ Lisa

Paul G said...

Keith, the force be with you, only Darth Vader would say such things or similar :-)

Well my friend, it is not a godly idea to say to Chris to ignore the word of the Lord my God Jesus Christ.
You know, that His Word produces salvation, and your word produces separation from the ONLY TRUE God Jesus Christ (Jude 1:25).

But, remember the Lord Jesus Christ wishes that none would perish, but all to be saved. So therefore I would like to invite you too, to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you and your household will be saved.

Brenda said...

Lisa,
I understand where you are coming from absolutely, and when I read your post about your beloved pet I cried. I have had similar experiences in my life regarding my beloved rescue cats. They are worth their weight in gold, and I know that the time that Bud spent in your life was organized by God because of the love that he received in your care. My friend and sister in the Lord in Wales had a very similar experience, and during her sadness and grieving had a vision from the Lord in which she saw her beautiful dog running through cornfields in perfect health.
Being in the Lord also brings much comfort because as we learn more of God's ways and thoughts through the teaching of the Holy Spirit we come to understand that there is far more than just what we experience in this world when we put our trust in that Word spoken to us.
God bless you, Lisa, with all that He has for you.

Chris said...

Thank you obi wan Keith. Ignoring engaged. Ha ha. I love mixed metaphors.

Paul G said...

Chris, my Father the Lord Jesus Christ requires from you to believe in Him alone and NOT in Keith.
If you ignore the Lord Jesus Christ, YOU will be ignored by Him.

Remember John.

Paul G said...

Is there ANYONE who can show me in the Bible only ONE verse where the disciples used in prayer the MAGIC formula “in Jesus Name” ?

ONLY ONE VERSE, please ??

Well, I think that would make a good post for ALL those deceived Christians who are praying to an unknown god called Yahweh or Jehovah, and then say, or invoke the MAGIC formula “In Jesus Name”.

Do you really think that MAGIC formula “in Jesus Name” would have any special authority to arouse your god called Yahweh or Jehovah to act and listen to your prayers and heal you ?
That is absurd at best.

You blind guides, instead of doing what the Lord Jesus Christ has told you to do, you are doing the opposite.
You are following the renta-crowd and doing exactly the same as they are doing.

You false Christian teachers, you like them to be under your authority and bondage, and are unwilling to even lift a finger in order to free those who have been captured by lies and deceptions.

You hypocrites, you pretend to know the Scriptures, but you show no evidence of understanding.

You herdsman of goats, you work overtime in order to gain one proselyte and then you make him twice a son of hell as you are.

And what do you think my Father the Lord Jesus Christ will do with everyone of you who will not repent of their evil and wicked ways ?

Remember John and the thousand Christians ?

Yesterday it was John, and tomorrow it will be YOU !

Brenda said...

Just to share a with everyone here that when I was in the Adelaide Revival centre many years ago a brother in Christ prayed a prayer of faith, asking the Father in Jesus' name to remove a very large lump in my breast and it went immediately. I had let this lump grow for a long time due to fear. A doctor that I had been to the day before I went to this church had arranged for me to see a specialist as he was very concerned.
The date arranged with the specialist was the day after I had been to the church, due to private medical insurance. The specialist, after examining me said the doctor must have been wrong as there was no lump there. That was one of the first times I shared my testimonies.
It can be very hard for anyone to accept what is possible with God when they have not experienced it.

Keith said...

Hey Brenda, Thanks for sharing. It is encouraging to hear of God's healing power, in today's world. By the way, in reference to one of the comments here, doesn't it say,

John 15:16
You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will remain--so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

John 16:23
In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

Once again God's Word wins the debate. Have a Great Day, my Sister.

Brenda said...

Aww.. Keith,
I have to say I find this amazing! I was thinking this morning -'Now, which scripture verses shall I put up here regarding Jesus mentioning about asking the Father in His name.' We had to go out early so I thought 'I will look at it later'. I come back and here you are with these two verses. God's timing and using all the parts of the body of Christ on earth (the true church) is truly amazing.
I always say that God the Father is the master chess player, we are the chess pieces, and our beautiful Saviour Jesus is the Sacrificial Lamb that enabled us to become children of God. (by being born of His Spirit, just as Jesus (the first of many brethren) was, as stated in Romans ch. 8 v.29.
you too have a Great day my Brother in the Lord.

Paul G said...

Brenda, I also like your testimony.
BUT !
Your testimony is just as useless as all the pagan testimonies.

Every Muslim has the same testimony as you have. And every Jehovah Witness has exactly the same testimony as you have.
They all say, “It can be very hard for anyone to accept what is possible with God when they have not experienced it.”

What’s the difference between you and a Muslim ? you and a Jehovah Witness ?
None ! Absolutely NO difference.
Whether you say at the end of your prayer the MAGIC formula “In Jesus Name” or not, makes absolutely no difference.

Your testimony glorifies a god you call Yahweh, whether you say “In Jesus Name” or not, does not make you Christian who believes in my Father the Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul G said...

Keith, YOU and Brenda, you both read my question just the same as you read your Bibles.

I did NOT asked what Jesus has said.

I said,
“Is there ANYONE who can show me in the Bible only ONE verse where the DISCIPLES used in PRAYER the MAGIC formula “in Jesus Name” ?

ONLY ONE VERSE, please ??”

And that question still stands.

You said, “John 15:16
You did not choose Me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will remain--so that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.

John 16:23
In that day you will no longer ask Me anything. Truly, truly, I tell you, whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you.”

Tell me Keith, why then don’t you ask the Father in Jesus Name ?

Think first, before you give me an answer.

Paul G said...

Brenda, you said, “I always say that God the Father is the master chess player, we are the chess pieces, and our beautiful Saviour Jesus is the Sacrificial Lamb that enabled us to become children of God. (by being born of His Spirit, just as Jesus (the first of many brethren) was, as stated in Romans ch. 8 v.29.“

Yes Brenda, that’s what you are saying because you are speaking out of ignorance, NOT knowing that the Father is the saviour of His children. By that I mean, of HIS children and not of Satan's children.
For unto US is but ONE God the Father (1 Corinthians 8:6).
1 Corinthians 15:34 for some have NO knowledge of God, I speak this to your shame.

Brenda said...

I find these Words in 1 Corinthians ch. 15 vs. 24-28 very informative regarding what will happen in the end times, which I believe could be very close:-
'Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For He 'has put everything under his feet.' Now when it says that 'everything' has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When He has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to Him who put everything under Him, so that God may be all in all'

Keith said...

Hi Brenda, A quick question for you. Do the children of God follow what the Bible says or what I think it infers? As for me, an obedient and loving son, I follow what it says or commands, not look for examples of what I think it might say to support an errant idea or doctrine. Your thoughts?

Also, in continuing with the obedient theme, I agree. It's very clear that Y'shua, the Messiah will reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. As you have quoted, the B'rit Hadashah (NT) witness is in 1 Corinthians ch. 15 vs. 24-28 and Ephesians 1:22, while the Tanakh (OT) witness in Psalm 110. At that time, the Messiah, having finish the job given to him by the Father, will hand over the keys of the Kingdom, to the Father. The Son is and has been always subservient and obedient to the Father.

Paul G said...

Is there not even one who can give me a reasonable answer to my question.
Wow, that is impossible, not even one :-(

So then, you admit it that you pray to the devil and add the MAGIC formula “in Jesus name” ?
If there is only ONE God, then the other has to be the devil ?
Don’t you think so ?
Or don’t you believe the Bible Brenda ?
All Christians pray in their delusion to this other god, and add the MAGIC formula “in Jesus name” at the end of their prayer.

Do they think that the devil will answer their prayer ?

Well, I don’t think so.

Paul G said...

Keith, you said, “I follow what it says or commands”

Are you kidding Keith ?
You are a transgressor of the commandments in every regard just like Brenda and ALL the rest who call themselves Christians and pray to this false god called Yahweh or Jehovah “in Jesus name”.

The first command says, ‘YOU shall have NO OTHER gods beside Me’.

Well I think, ALL of you should be ashamed to call yourself a Christian and dishonour MY Father the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brenda said...

Hi Keith,
I believe absolutely that the written Word is a living Word, and speaks to each born again believer what is necessary as they grow in the Spirit.
Just as we were taught in the flesh, as children of the flesh, learning through the carnal mind, so too we are taught in the Spirit as children of God through that living Word, having the mind of Christ.

As Jesus said in John ch. 4 vs.23 and 24:-
'But a time is coming and has now come when the TRUE worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship Him in spirit and in truth.'

As Jesus says here God the Father is Spirit. The things of God are foolishness to the carnal mind and we have to become children of God to begin to understand them.

Paul G said...

Yes Brenda, the FATHER is seeking those who worship Him in spirit and in truth, and NOT Yahweh or Jehovah.

And for that reason they worshiped JESUS CHRIST the FATHER.
Matthew 28:9 “And they came up and took hold of His feet and WORSHIPED Him.” (JESUS)
John 9:38 “And He said, ‘LORD, I believe.’ And he WORSHIPED Him.” (JESUS)

Who did they worship ??

The FATHER of course !

Paul G said...

Brenda, it is time for you to repent.
And STOP being stubborn and stiff necked and unyielding, always taking sides with unbelievers and delight in the doctrines of man.

I hope you can see that everything you say is always against the Scriptures and against the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember John 15:26 The Holy Spirit will testify about Me (Jesus Christ).
The Holy Spirit will NOT testify to a god called Yahweh or Jehovah, but ONLY to JESUS who is the Christ.

Do just as I DO !
It is NOT complicated Brenda.
You don’t have to jump through hoops, just simply repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Brenda said...

Just to share some wonderful scripture which explains much of what Paul is questioning:-

'Fellow Israelites, I can tell you confidently that the patriarch David died and was buried, and his tomb is here to this day. But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne. Seeing what was to come, he spoke of the resurrection of the Messiah, that He was not abandoned to the realm of the dead, nor did His body see decay. God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of it. Exalted to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear. For David did not ascend to heaven, and yet he said, ‘THE LORD said to MY LORD: 'Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.''Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: GOD HAS MADE this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.”

Acts ch. 2 vs; 29-36

No Brenda, I do NOT questioning the Scriptures, I am questioning YOU and YOUR transgression of the Scripture.

And of course everyone who prayed to this false god called Yahweh or Jehovah and says the MAGICAL formula “In Jesus name”.

Hey Brenda, have you notice that disciples of Satan totally disregard the scriptures and deflect them? A perfect example is that we gave scripture to testify of praying and asking in the name of the Messiah, Y'shua(Jesus), but the disciple of Satan ignores it and goes onto attack your position in the Messiah. Now, he's back to insulting us. Textbook Satanic practices. Just as he did in the Garden, so shall he continue, until Y'shua casts him and his followers into the pit of Sheol.

Hi Keith,
I love the fact that as we grow in the Lord through the leading us into all truth of the Holy Spirit, we grow more as a child of God - being given the wisdom and knowledge of God. Through that wisdom and knowledge we learn to discern the spirits. Satan is a liar and a thief, and will try to rob all of the Love of God, but he has no power against the truth when we seek that truth.
By the way Keith, I always know Who you are speaking of when you use the original name of the Messiah, Y'shua. It is a beautiful name.
As I always say 'There is only One winner.

Just an encouraging scripture coming into my mind at the moment:-

'Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.' Ephesians ch. 6 vs. 10 and 11.

Sorry, Brenda, I get into ‘Auto’ mode sometimes. I just wanted to make sure that anyone, who may read our correspondence, understands that Y’shua and Jesus is the same person, especially when you get a person who want to dwell on a specific version of our lord’s name. A rose be any other name is still a rose.

Brenda, it’s obvious that you and everyone else transgresses the Scriptures who is praying to this unknown god called Yahweh, and then add to your prayer the MAGIC formula, “in Jesus name”.

And then you worship your false god Yahweh, while everyone in the Scriptures ONLY worshiped the Lord Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:9 “And they came up and took hold of His feet and WORSHIPED Him.” (JESUS)
John 9:38 “And He said, ‘LORD, I believe.’ And he WORSHIPED Him.” (JESUS)

And there are many more Scriptures you transgress because you have left the Lord Jesus Christ and have gone after other gods.

Brenda, it’s time to return the one who has bought you with the price of His blood Jesus Christ.

Keith,
it is very good to do what you have done regarding Y'shua's true name, please feel free to do this on my blog. It is good that you understand and share the original language of the scriptures.

Brenda, where is your friend ?
Has he lost his speech ? :-)

By the way, you said, “By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.”

Do you mean that you abide in a god called Yahweh and this god Yahweh or Jehovah abides in you ?
Yes I know that’s what you mean.

Then Jesus Christ profit you NOTHING !

You said, “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world.”

What have you SEEN ?
And what do you testify ?
Are you testifying that a god called Yahweh which you call Father has sent somebody else to be the saviour of the world ? or what ?

You said, “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”

Brenda, that is just religious rhetoric, meaning absolutely nothing.
But to those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, to them it means exactly what He has said.

Since everybody believes that Jesus is the Son of God, and Adam is the first son of God (Luke 3:38) and everyone after Adam who believes in the Lord Jesus Christ is also called the sons of God, for behold what manner of love the Father has given unto us, that we should be called the sons of God.

Brenda, you can read and quote the Scriptures, but you can’t understand them.
That is, because you don’t believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and a false spirit testifies to a god you called the “Father, Yahweh”.

Luke ch. 1 vs. 26-35 explains the birth of Jesus being born of a virgin:-

'And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Yes Brenda, that must be so.
How else could God (Jesus) have caused Himself to be born into His own creation and become a man ?
A man in the image of God, just like Adam, or one of us.

1 Timothy 3:16 He (God,Jesus) was revealed in the flesh, Was vindicated in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Proclaimed among the nations, Believed on in the world, Taken up in glory.

And for that reason He was CALLED the Son of God ! with a capital “S”, the only one who is called ‘Son’ with a capital “S”.
