Look and see
All that look, that look on me
see only here a dying tree
in brittle branch and withered wood
in brittle branch and withered wood
they find no beauty - see no good
perceiving just what would have been
perceiving just what would have been
if You had not come on my scene
But shoots of green they do not see
But shoots of green they do not see
new budding leaves that struggle free
from lifeless form that once was me
For carnal mind and human eyes
from lifeless form that once was me
For carnal mind and human eyes
both dwell and gaze on all that dies
and in this chrysalis of tree
and in this chrysalis of tree
will fail to see eternity
Oh all that look - look again at me
Oh all that look - look again at me
look now through eyes of faith and see
the hand of Jesus Christ, God's Son
the hand of Jesus Christ, God's Son
gaze on the work that's being done
See miracle of power to save
See miracle of power to save
a soul once destined for the grave
This Saviour, Whom my heart does love
This Saviour, Whom my heart does love
has come from God on wings of a dove
to change my destiny of strife
to change my destiny of strife
and bring to me eternal life
So look again upon this tree
So look again upon this tree
see everywhere new greenery
Don't look upon the dying wood
Don't look upon the dying wood
see my Saviour's beauty, see my Saviour's good

Hi Victor, all glory to our lovely Saviour Jesus. God bless you.
So beautiful Brenda, in content, imagery and meter -- perfection! To God be the glory!
Amen Laurie,
to God be the glory, for without Him sending His precious Son and the Holy Spirit to teach me I would not fully know what 'sin' is. The world, without our Father, God and our Lord Jesus, is full of sin. God bless you Laurie, as you share what God has given you to share.
"a soul once destined for the grave"
It is serious. It is eternity. My heart is heavy these days thinking of what an urgent issue this and hiw many are still lost. God help us.
"This Saviour, Whom my heart does love
has come from God on wings of a dove
to change my destiny of strife
and bring to me eternal life"
Amen. The word gratitude hardly makes a dent. We have been saved from something so dire. Oh, Lord Jesus.
I know Sandi,
our beautiful Lord and Saviour Jesus was the only One Who was sinless and could grant us eternal life in the most beautiful place that anywhere on this earth can not compare to. God bless.
Best wishes for Christmas,
God bless.
You too Victor
God bless you.
