The Jewels of a Crown

The light of the early morning sun shone on the droplets of rain that hung suspended between each petal around the base of the French Marigold in my window box. They sparkled like a diamond coronet. I have seen nothing as beautiful in any jeweller's shop window.

I saw a simile in the Christian ministry. The 'Water of the Word' that the Lord would drop from Heaven would be the crown, the only 'coronet' that the world would see.  Our evangelizing would be the only visible sign of our being children of God (which we become when we are born again believers) to a darkened world, and the only means to attaining to that ministry of evangelism would be for us to be transformed into children of God by allowing that very 'water' itself to change us first.

'For like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on His land' Zechariah ch.9v.16.

Zechariah ch.9 has a very spiritual connection to what is going on in these days.

Hi Brenda,
What a lovely description and analogy! I have seen raindrops or dew on the leaves of dwarf marigolds, and your description vividly recalled it to my mind. The crimson and gold of the flower petals may also symbolize the precious blood of Christ, His royalty, and the holy fire within each of us through the indwelling Holy Spirit. May God bless you as you continue to uplift and inspire others through your ministry,
Laurie

Hi Laurie, thankyou for your kind comment and your view of what the crimson and gold could represent. The Lord speaks to us in wonderful ways, as I know He does to you through your many dreams. God bless you Laurie.

Dear Brenda,
Jesus said his water would never cause thirst to rise again but would well up to everlasting life.
So he said when he met the Samaritan woman at the well.
God bless you and your family.

Hi Frank, that's right. As we as believers hear His water (the Word spoken to each of us individually) and act upon that Word spoken, then we shall never be 'thirsty'. God bless you and Alex too Frank as you journey on in the Lord.

Hi, Brenda:
I didn't know what a "French" Marigold was and looked that up and learned the difference. You have a beautiful soul. When I visit your stories, I am fed a plate of deep, introspective thoughts woven together in colorful ways. I will ponder Zechariah 9:16 today and pray for opportunities to shine where the Lord leads, bringing His Good News to others. Great writing!

Hi Saleslady 371, thankyou for your very kind comment. All glory to our beautiful saviour regarding my writing, as I only did all the writing - whether blogging, songs or poetry, after my NDE when I was taken to the most beautiful place I could ever be taken to. God bless you with all God has for us in our Saviour Jesus.
