A child is returning home

The scriptures say that in the end times many shall fall away from the faith, and that is just what is happening in these times. I believe Jesus  will be returning soon to take up the remnant, and that it is so important that we repent on the things we may have done wrong and turn back to having God's ways and thoughts. The following is a poem I wrote some time ago regarding my thoughts on this.

A CHILD IS RETURNING HOME

The Lord looked down from Heaven
and said to His angels one night
'There's an empty house in Jerusalem
that needs to be filled with my light'
My Father says 'Make this house ready
a child is returning home
Go, welcome him into my sanctuary
and tell him no more will he roam
Tell him his Lord has redeemed him
and not for the good deeds he's done
but because the Father has loved him
and he trusted upon His Son'
So come, let us make this house ready
and fill it with goodness tonight
for a child that was lost has come home again
to be blessed by the Father of Light

Hi Brenda, Praise God that He welcomes home His prodigal son, and that He forgives us when we stray and repent and brings us back to Himself. Thank you for the lovely poem and may God bless you and your ministry.

Hi Laurie, yes, being in the Lord is a learning process and just as going astray and repentance happens in the natural it can happen in the spiritual too. Thank our Father God that in Jesus we have the Holy Spirit to teach us repentance. God bless you Laurie.

Dear Brenda,
As Laurie already wrote, your poem reminds me of the Prodigal Son. When his father saw him at a distance, there was no chiding in his mind, but instead ran towards him to throw his arms around him. He then threw a party on his behalf.
Although this may seem hard to believe at times, this is how God sees as when we put our trust in His Son.
Blessings to you and your family.

Hi, Brenda! Thank you for your comments over on my post.

Hi Frank, I totally agree with what you have said. God is a very forgiving, loving Father, and understands His creation one hundred percent. That is why He sent His Son Jesus to be the sacrificial lamb, so that we could become a child of God by believing in Jesus (God's Word) as we grow in the Holy Spirit's teaching. God bless you and Alex in all God has for you in Jesus.
