Forever grateful Father
that You gave Your precious Son

'Not my will - but Your will be done'
Yet it pleased You to bruise Him Father
so that I might have peace and be healed
for through this one act of sacrifice
was Your gift of salvation revealed
Forever remembering Jesus

taking the pain and punishment
that was meant for a sinner like me
Yet You chose not to open Your mouth Lord
and call on the Heavenly host
to come to Your aid on that lonely day
No...You suffered and gave up the ghost

and Jesus - I want to obey
So guide me great Spirit and keep me

I too am so thankful for how I am gradually being changed by God's plan for us. The spiritual enemy is rife in these times and is always trying to distract everyone from what is in store for us in Jesus. God bless.
Brenda, it's good to keep that in mind. It is so true.
I totally agree with you Sandi, and those kind of trials can strengthen us in our walk with the Lord. I keep a little picture of a rose which I put with a scripture on my bedside cabinet, the scripture is 'I will love Thee O Lord my strength.'

Wonderful that when I needed a Father, and a Saviour, and a Comforter God revealed Himself in the father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Oh, Brenda a friend, John, asked me to ask you if you are on Facebook. I discuss and have conversations in a group he runs on Facebook that has conversations with Christians of several denominations as well as Muslims and even atheists, but the conversations stay pretty respectful as we hear each other out. I came off Facebook a long time ago because it didn't suit me. I wouldn't even know how to get back on it. I would love to be in a group like the one John has mentioned but I am not that knowledgeable on many things.
